We booked this expensive self catering converted car port for approximately 11 nights, having looked at the upmarket Portfolio brochure, assuming we would be staying in quality and quiet accommodation. We found the house against a very busy fast and noisy road. When we arrived the hostess gave us a cool unfriendly reception, no information on what our package was....

Hard to know where to start. The rooms are extremely comfortable without being overly grand. But the little things are done are done so well. Really good shampoo and body wash. Excellent soap, good drinking water, comfortable mattress, soft linen, powerful hairdryer (I am told) The house is close to the airport but in Capetown. No noise and yet everywhere...

Our stay at Canterbury House has made us want to go back as soon as possible! It was comfortable, homely and in a really beautiful setting - a wonderful retreat at the end of a hot, busy day. This is a very comfortable guest house. Only 4 rooms each of which has easy access to the very private pool area. Set in lush gardens with a magnificent view of Table Mountain and the lower reaches of Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens, it is the perfect place to both relax in the summer sun or to use as a base for...
