Stayed for 4 days to get our bearings on our first visit to Cape Town. Lovely beach over the road and great views of Table Mountain from our balcony which faced the rear of the mountain. Lovely room (402 )great staff, good location with many choices nearby for restaurants and bars . A taxi back from Cape Town waterfront cost...

Stayed for 4 nights during SA tour. Nice hotel in stunning beach location. Friendly laid back vibe. Can be very windy due to location but beach is stunning and nice strip of restaurants / bars outside hotel. Friendly staff and loved the vintage motor cycles on display. Would definitely stay again. 👌🏼

We spent 3 days here over Christmas 2016 and were overall very comfortable and extremely pleased with the location of the hotel. However, in a few areas we felt the hotel has to pull it's socks up a bit. In Caamil's Bar we were surprised that the barman could only offer us a choice of of two gins, which came...

We checked in on Thursday and having visited Cape Town 6 times now have always wanted to stay here we had just had a week in the vineyard Newlands which was also wonderful. Upon our arrival check in was very warm welcoming and efficient. Our room is very comfortable and well equipped. Although there is an additional charge for the...

After touring for 2 weeks we stayed for 5 days in November. We were made very welcome by the staff. Our room was comfy and had a sea view. The breakfast room had lovely views. The ground floor eating area was good for quick lunch or coffee and cake. The staff at reception were very helpful and the pool staff...

2nd time staying here and still fantastic. Contemporary, fresh and the best location in Cape Town. Great shops and restaurants only minutes walk away not to mention the stunning beach right in front of the hotel. We booked 3 rooms all of which were huge with either a view of table mountain or the ocean. Food in the restaurant was...

First visit to Cape Town and the experience was not what we had hoped for. The breakfast service was disorganised to the extent that made Fawlty Towers look a positively slick operation. Long wait for cooked food options, the standard of which was not very consistent. Also, the tipping box placed on each table, suggesting a tip of R15 per...

The Bay Hotel has the potential to be truly wonderful. Incredible location on the beachfront, beautiful building and private poolside area. But ... the bathrooms are seriously dated, the food is sub standard, the management are indifferent at best and worse of all the hotel suffers from terrible wind noise. Of the six nights stay we couldn't sleep for three...

The bay hotel is in a fantastic location. We choose it as one of the few hotels in Cape Town by the beach, that also had swimming pools, full facilities, looked stylish, not huge & corporate etc. However the bay hotel seem to be taking full advantage of their enviable location and neglecting giving their customers a 5-star experience. We...
