Check-in was somewhat haphazard but in all other respects this is a delightful guest house close to bars, restaurants and shops. Great public spaces for eating, lounging and bathing (plunge pool). Barbecue and kitchen available. Room furnishing is shabby chic going on shabby but bed is comfortable and everything works. Pleasant and helpful staff.

I haven't been in this part of town since 1983 and what trendy place it has become. The location couldn't be better. I loved staying in a "hotel" that is more of a house. The staff were friendly and helpful. Please just note that there is mold under the soap dish in room 3 - only a guest submerged in...

De Waterkant House is ideally located to explore all that the Waterkant Village has to offer. It is peaceful, and the rooms are comfortable. The complimentary breakfast offered by the nearby cafes is nice. Only real complaint is the lack of wifi.

It was my second time in the village and will be happy to come back again. I had the traveller room but still it is a place with charm and unique atmosphere. Comfy room, good location and great service.

Stay at this place for 4 nights and i loved it. It was a good size room with toilet, kitchen area, and comfortable bed! The apartment has a small pool and sun deck which you could enjoy but i did not as Capetown is too beautiful to stay inside. The apartment is in the middle of De Waterkant which is...

I stayed at the De Waterkant House for 3 nights last week. My room was very nice and spacious. Unfortunately there was no wifi signal at all in the room, which I found very disappointing. Only in the common area there was a signal and when there were more guests online at the same time it was almost impossible to...

We arrived for a 9 day stay to be disappointed to say the least in the room offered to us. Our room was downstairs basically in the basement with Windows at just street level and view of parked cars. Frank the Waterkant manager to be fair was understanding but as it was weekend could not more us until the Monday.he...

Stayed for 4 nights and found the area nice within walking distance to waterfront. Nice restaurants around the area too. Room was nice, a bit smaller than expected. No aircon available, a fan which did not cool the room. Staff were friendly and very helpful when arranging activities and looking for assistance. A bit confusing that the reception is in...

Colonial setting that promises such luxury but OH HELL NO! You have to check in 2 blocks away, breakfast is served a block away. Besides having these obstacles, there was mold in our mini fridge, no hot water at all for showers (and no fixing of the problem), no heater in the room, and no customer service to address any...

I am saddened to read this review. I personally attended to you the morning of your checkout. 1. At no point during your stay did you mention you had hot water issues. Our priority would have been to move you to a room with hot water or resolve the issue. 2. We are not a hotel and do not advertise...
