The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa garners high praise for its immaculate cleanliness and stylish modern ambiance, with guests often noting the luxurious, spotless rooms. Nestled conveniently close to the seafront, the location is a hit for its easy access to attractions and dining. The hotel's service is lauded for its friendly, attentive staff who provide personalized care.
While the tranquil spa and attentive poolside service are highlights, the seasonal closure of the outdoor jacuzzi is a noted downside. Nonetheless, many guests feel the hotel offers excellent value for a luxury experience.

Detailed Reviews
Wife and I stayed at the Glen just before Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Breakfast buffet is very good every day, the pool area is nice and well kept. Fantastic staff, there is always someone around to help and they all do a great job. We stayed in room #5 in the main building with the reception and it was quite nice, AC worked great, had a nice little balcony and a large bathroom.
Only slight issue I had was it appeared the hot tub wasn't working when we were there (it wasn't warm at all and no jets) and the pools aren't heated so they were quite chilly, would have been nice to have been able to warm up in the hot tub.
Hotel is in a fairly nice/safe area, but I would suggest taking an Uber even for short trips - it was incredible how close by Uber drivers seemed to be at all times in Cape Town, I don't think we ever waited more than a minute or two and the prices are very cheap in South Africa for Uber.

I am writing this review in the room on the apple mac they provide in the rooms! You can tell that there was careful planning and execution of this place. There are thoughtful details everywhere. The service is impeccable too. Everyone is friendly and professional. The entire place is clean and tastefully decorated and the moment you step inside you feel welcome and cared for.
The only thing I can fault it on is that the noise travels and I can hear the comings and goings around the hotel.
I normally write reviews after I have left the place so I give a review only once I experienced it in its entirety but I just couldnt wait .
I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The Glen exceeded my expectations. The hotel is generally beautiful and clean but the best part of it is the team which are all friendly and professional. the team is just incomparable like no other, i can’t remember all names but outstanding was Rickie ,Maggie ,Wellington ,Jayden who made me feel at home the moment I stepped into the hotel . They went above and beyond to make me feel special. I arrived late at this wonderful hotel and was given a warm wellcome , had a welcome card with my name on it and was given a free room upgrade into one of their deluxe rooms in the new building (room 23) which overlooks the pool and a late checkout without me paying extra. Had a very busy schedule and it was always great to return to a very clean room with water and chocolates on the bedside .The hotel is an absolute must, the next time I’m in Capetown I’m coming back to the Glen. Thank you for making me so welcome

This place is truely unique, they have the most amazing team and you feel like you are in an oasis while being in the middle of Sea Point, a very central and vibey suburb of Cape Town.
The Glen Boutique Hotel is our favourite place for holiday stays as well as day-visits by the pool or to use their Spa facilitues. It is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy an extremely high quality service, whether you travel as a couple, business traveller or with a family.
The most outstanding points for us is the friendliness of their staff (extremely child-friendly & willing to go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations), their excellent breakfast service and the luxurious pool deck incl. a heated jacuzzi.
We have visited the Glen Boutique Hotel over 10 times in the past 5 years and will be back very soon. :-)

Now where to start, at the beginning I suppose.
Booking this hotel was so easy and even having to book an extra night at short notice was so easy with quick responses.
On arrival at Cape Town airport we were met by Mark and Prince both looking very smart and professional but were so friendly and whisked us off to The Glen.
On arrival at the hotel check in was very smooth and we had a lovely cold drink sat out on the veranda.
The room ( we had room 3 ) was fantastic, very big and comfortable with a lovely on-suite, a balcony overlooking the pool area.
The bed looked so inviting I had a sit down on it and wanted to go to bed then, we had fantastic nights sleep.
We had dinner the first night and the food was lovely, the breakfast was also very good with a great selection of fruits, cold meats and cheese, cereals, Teas, yoghurts, juices and of course the cooked breakfast ( The Glen with scrambled eggs for me every day). The area the hotel is situated we found to be safe ( we ventured out on foot a few times and did not feel at all intimidated) If you need any information talk to the staff who are always happy to help.
Now this Hotel is cracking but the staff are out of this world. Mark and his team are fabulous and cannot do enough for you, they are so polite, and always with a smile.
Thankyou Team The Glen for looking after us and making our vacation fantastic.
I would highly recommend a stay at The Glen.

We were meant to stay at The Glen in June 2020 as part of a round the world trip. We were very much looking forward to it. However we had to cancel due to COVID. Having spent the last month dealing with hotels, airlines, ground and tour companies I can thoroughly recommend and commend The Glen. They handled it quickly and efficiently and honoured the original terms and conditions of our booking (something many many companies have not done). They also offered us a 10% discount on our future booking when we can travel again. I am absolutely gutted that we cannot stay at the hotel but with this excellent customer service I can’t wait to stay in the future

Dear RNRMOZ , Thank you very much for taking the time to share your 5 Star review on Trip Advisor and recognising the service that Hank Sazi our Senior Duty Manager provided to you related to booking refund ( following the COVID 19 Pandemic ) that sadly impacted your round the world trip this month . We are all keen to welcome you back hopefully next year and to share an " in-person " 5 Star service South African holiday experience and will do all we can to make up for the disappointment of your unavoidable world trip cancellation . In the meantime we trust you will enjoy a healthy and relaxing summer at home and we look forward to meeting you when travel is again permitted ! Kind regards Mark Hank and All The Glen Team

I have just returned from yet another fabulous time at The Glen.
It is no secret that this “piece of Heaven” is my favourite place to stay in Cape Town.
Mark, Ashley and the teams go above and beyond to ensure an exceptional stay and it is evident that The Glen team love what they do. Each and every team member is truly professional and friendly and although I would like to mention all their names, there would be too many to write down as they are all amazing, and each make a point of making your stay one to remember fondly.
The facilities and rooms are extremely well appointed and well maintained to a luxury level. The amenities are also exceptional from the lovely RAIN Africa products, to the soft fluffy bathrobes, the mini bars and Nespresso machines...the list goes on! The breakfast, light meals at the pool, and the lunch and dinner menu is very tasty and presented to a high standard, as are the lovely cocktails and the extensive wine list. The outside seating area at the hotel is such a lovely setting to enjoy a meal and to socialise. The pool area is incredible!
The team always make a point of checking in with you to ensure you are having a great time and they are also all very helpful in recommending various places to visit in Cape Town and beyond. The hotel also now offers personal wine tours and recommends some wonderful estates to choose from.
It is always so difficult and sad to say goodbye. However it won’t be long until I will be back and I very much look forward to booking another stay very soon. Anyone who books The Glen will not be disappointed. I have been going for a number of years now and always meet other guests who always fall in love with it too!

We found this special place by accident years ago and finally had the opportunity traveling to Capetown again and decided that we were going to stay at The Glen. What a pleasant stay! Started right from the time we arrived when our suitcases miraculous disappeared (to our rooms) and we were asked to take a seat and enjoy a glass of champagne while filling out the arrival documents. Our room was on the 2nd floor and we enjoyed a lovely view from the balcony. Room was clean and features a complimentary bottle of wine. The staff was very helpful, especially Lewis. A wide selection at the breakfast buffet with FRESHLY squeezed orange juice and a wide selection of tea.
We did not make use of the pool - bit chilly in winter!

We haven't actually stayed at the hotel! We booked a few nights after the end of a safari package through a third party on a non-refundable rate. I tried (not that hard) to cancel through the third party but didn't get anywhere - we've had to postpone the whole thing a year due to Covid and I wrote off several of the extras.
On our arrival date I got a text from the hotel - who in a short conversation agreed to move back our booking to our just rebooked holiday in 2021.
Having read the recent reviews I can't wait to stay next year. Thankyou for this, you were well within your rights not to help us out.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Glen Boutique between 10-16 Nov 2019 during our first trip to Cape Town. From the initial welcome drink, I knew it would be an amazing stay. The owner Mark and all of the team could not be more helpful, polite, friendly and welcoming at all times and it was a pleasure to stay there. Our room in the original building was amazing, as was the breakfast and dinner (we ate there three times). The pool and hot tub were great and the poolside service (and service in general) was top notch. Parking was available on site and there was always a space free. A safe area with V&A a 5minute Uber away. Great location from which to explore the city. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this was right up there with the best, especially for the service and friendliness of the team. I would 100% recommend. Hope to return one day!

Hi, very good restaurant on site. Waterfront not too far. Also many good restaurants in the area.
Enjoy.
Winter time ! ...but would go for it 😄👍💪
We are currently not affected by the water crisis but are doing everything we can to conserve water in the hotel. The water is due to be affected in May, but this is not certain. We will keep our guests updated on our Facebook page as well as on Trip Advisor.
