My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights in a twin private. We thought that it had bags of potential: great bar and cafe, fantastic location as it's just around the corner from Long St & Kloof St, as well as good distance from Table Mountain and the Waterfront. The room let it down somewhat, it was really small...

I stayed at the Backpackers for a few nights in March 2017. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms comfortable and clean, shared facilities also kept in good clean condition. The bar area is great, perfect to catch up with people and meet new friends over a beer after a day of sightseeing. Parking was easy to find, and...

This place is located within walking distance of lots of bars/restaurants and even V&A waterfront (40 min). The private room was nice, had a cute balcony and decent (slightly basic) bathroom. Great communal kitchen, nice bar area and very helpful staff. Not a party place (which I liked) but easy to get in touch with other travelers. Recommended! Mind you,...

Stayed here for 6 nights in private double room with bathroom. Room was lovely, had a balcony which was surprising and an in room safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good. I really liked the quiet hours after 10 pm. I am not a partier or loud by nature so this ensured I got a decent...

As three friends looking to be close enough to good restaurants and Long Street but far enough away for a good nights sleep - Capetown Backpackers was the perfect place! When arriving, the staff at the reception were exceptional - very welcoming and ensured all our needs were met. The room was simple but efficient. With lots of bathrooms doted...

Close enough to walk to the city centre, far enough to not be disturbed by the long street party tourism. Very friendly personel and good beds. They do offer you right info to see the whole region and you can book tours and activies in the hostel.

First impressions appeared to be false. What could have been lovely was cut short with a patronising receptionist. We just couldn't communicate, my sister and I felt like we were asking for too much when very simply wanted a dormitory to sleep in and to pay separately. Unfortunate, we aren't fussy (in fact we were sleeping in our car for...

This is a great backpackers. Really felt like coming home the moment we stepped in. The facilities are basic, but good and staff is very very friendly! Silence starts at 10pm, so if you want a good nights sleep this is perfect. No worries if you want to party though, there is also plenty of place for that without disturbing...

Super service, nice staff. Nice and clean facilities and a lovely neighbourhood. It's located just next to Kloof Street with lots of nice restaurant and bars. The staff will help you booking tours, car rentals, recommend sights, etc. The rooms are nice and the kitchen is really good.

Myself and my friend have just stayed here for 10 days to start the beginning of our trip up to Joburg, and we loved staying here. As this is the first hostel we have ever stayed in we really enjoyed it. The location is perfect for resturants/cafes etc and 5 min walk from Long St, is also extremely close to...
