We spent one night at the Tree House; our stay was perfect. We were in a lovely ground floor, spacious suite with a most comfortable bed, and agreeable, well-appointed bathroom/shower. Nice amenities, such as complimentary water. A very nice breakfast was included. The location is ideal: quiet, in the Green Point neighbourhood, walking distance to the V&A waterfront, and the city centre. While there is not a restaurant for dinner in the hotel, restaurants are close by, just down the road. More importantly, the staff and front desk are most helpful: we had local transportation arranged at a fair price, and any other requests were met in an obliging manner. During our trip we subsequently spent 4 nights at another 5-star Cape Town hotel, but wished we had booked the Tree House Boutique.

Hidden gem in Cape Town! A beautiful place with lovely staff and excellent food. The rooms differ in size and comfort. Depending on room you can make use of the balcony (not so nice on the road side). Bathroom is good, however some rooms do have less space in shower area. Nevertheless, highly recommended place to stay! 24 hr staff available, including security.

The perfect hotel in Cape Town, centrally located, small and cozy and taking care of all your needs. Located at the end of the street, about a 20 min walk to the water front. It is up a hill but not a hard walk. BIG shout-out to Elton, and his team, who provided the best service, friendly and always helpful. They arranged our airport pickup, tours and some transfers, all of which worked perfectly. All staff, including their drivers & guides (Ismael x 2, Peter etc) were all super knowledgeable & friendly. Was a pleasure spending time & talking with them. A small number of rooms, and we had on the 3rd floor an incredible view or Cape Town. Breakfast was perfect, also by the pool, with very nice options from the kitchen. This hotel is part of a private group, "The Living Journey Collection", run by a German / Irish couple. VERY nice and impactful is their outreach program "Ease the journey" giving back to the local community and their staff. Highly recommended and we also stayed at the sister hotel, Chapter House, in Franschhoek, which was equally excellent.

Dear A-Jin Thank you so much for this wonderful review, we really do appreciate it. Thanks also for choosing The Tree House Boutique Hotel for your recent trip to Cape Town, and it lovely to read how much you enjoyed your time with us. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your room and those sweeping views of Cape Town, and the harbour, we never tire of it. I am also delighted that you had a chance to use the driving and touring services of Ismail and Peter, they are really great, and as you say, very knowledgeable. Thank you for picking up on Ease the Journey. This is a very important part of our business where we make a donation on behalf of each guest staying and these funds go towards four education projects each year. One of the steady and most popular projects is that all the children, of all of team members across the six hotels, get new school shoes at the beginning of each year. In turn each guest gets a bracelet to remember the impact they have had by staying with us. Again, many thanks for recognising this. Please so stay in touch and let us know when you are planning your next trip to the area. we would love to welcome you back to The Tree House Boutique Hotel, and Chapter House Boutique Hotel, or indeed to another one of The Living Journey Collection in Stellenbosch, Hermanus and Robertson. Many thanks and warm regards. Lorraine

An excellent experience. The hotel is situated a short walk from the V&A Waterfront and has views of the sea. Highlights are the staff, who couldn’t do enough, the chef’s cake which is prepared at 3pm daily and the breakfast (the mushroom, shallot, tomato and thyme on toast was my favourite). Shops, restaurants, bars and cafes are all in walking distance. I’d fully recommend this hotel as an excellent place to stay.

My Partner and I had looked at a number of hotels for our stay in Cape Town, ranging from the usual large corporate chains to some small boutique hotels. Thankfully we decided on the Tree House Boutique Hotel and were not disappointed. From the moment we entered the total to be greeted by Sheila and Elton at reception we knew we'd made a good choice. Their smiling welcome and short tour of the hotel was much appreciated after a long trip from the UK. We stayed in the Lookout Suite which was very comfortable, with great views and an amazing terrace - sitting there in the evening as the sun was setting and a glass of wine in hand was bliss! The room was spotless and very relaxing. Even the loss of power for two hours per day, mostly in the afternoon and during the night, wasn't too much of a hassle. The hotel location was also excellent with some good restaurants and bars just a short walk down the hill in Greenpoint. We walked here day and night, never feeling unsafe at any point. Whilst the hotel and rooms were good, what really made our visit were the staff. Elton is a superb Manager, supported by some great staff. Sheila during the day and Earnest in the late evening were always smiling and friendly. The hotel also provided a driver when we wanted to venture further afield for dinner or drinks in the evening. Peter went above and beyond, often picking us up late in the evening after he'd technically finished for the day. We definitely grew very fond of our conversation with him by the end of the trip. In summary, a very good hotel in a good location, made all that bit better by exceptional staff.

What an absolute gem this hotel is! Great location a short walk from the main bars, restaurants and the V&A Waterfront. The staff are super professional and friendly. We received a lovely welcome arrival tour and drink from the fabulous Sheila who explained everything in detail. Upon returning to the room on our first night we were delighted to find a bottle of local wine waiting for us which was a lovely gesture! The room is spacious and comfortable with many amenities and a large balcony and the cleaners do a great job of servicing the room daily. The staff here really are so attentive, display great attention to detail and have made our stay here in Cape Town so special. Thank you Tree House for a fantastic stay.

After cruising to Cape Town I didn't have very high expectations of the hotel but I was very wrong. This quiet boutique hotel really is a hidden gem. 5 min walk down hill to bars and restaurants and 15 walk to all V&A Waterfront attractions. The breakfasts were outstanding and all staff were friendly and helpful. The comfortable room, with sunny balcony and distant sea views was excellent. Nice little pool area and comfortable lounge with refreshments. Would definitely stay again if visiting Cape Town.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Very convenient for the V&A waterfront. Really nice room, with big bath and shower. Great breakfast and afternoon cake was a treat. Next time I would book a room on the higher floors as, although our room was fantastic, it was a little dark. The VERY BEST THING was the staff. They were all so friendly, helpful and with a great sense of humour. Elton, the manager was exceptional. Would definitely book this hotel again when we return to Cape Town.

Parking is a bit tricky, small cul de sac or entrance from busy High Level. Booked a room with sea view, wich is lovely. Room is modern. Bathtub divides bedroom from open bathroom. Toilet is separate. During loadshedding which was not communicated through staff in advance there is no back up plan. Means the lift doesn't work and staircase is left almost in the dark. Staff is friendly but missing attention to detail.

Dear Frogy Thank you for choosing The Tree House Boutique for your recent trip to Cape Town, and we are pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. I am delighted to read how much you enjoyed your room and the overall ambience and style of the hotel. I am disappointed that you found the team to be lacking, and we have shared this with them.
