This boutique hotel is in Bo Kaap, just a few streets up from really the main tourist streets, sights, restaurants, and perhaps most importantly to we tourists, is the Main Office for the Hop On / Hop Off tour buses. We had a suite on the 3rd floor (no elevator). It was spacious, immaculate, bright, king bed, separate living /... More

I'm based in Johannesburg and went for a short trip to the Cape and needed a night in a hotel after a work engagement as I couldn't get on to the same day return flight. Because of that I wasn't keen on spending a lot of money. Luckily I came across Rouge on Rose and what a find it was!... More

We were walking distance from many great restaurants and little coffee shops, no need to get in the car... Our room was beautiful with a spectacular view of the mountain, a fantastic BIG bathroom and... More

We stayed at Rouge on Rose for 5 nights as part of our South African experience. It was our base for the Cape Town portion of our trip. We had seen many great reviews before selecting ROR and our experience just reinforced the other great reviews. Ursula and Michel were an absolute delight to deal with and helped us get... More

This is a great hotel in the heart of Bo-Kaap and convenient to many of the trendier parts of Cape Town! Lovely interiors which were BIG, clean and very modern. The location is great for visiting all parts of Cape Town (the hotel has convenient parking!). The owner and her son were so friendly, warm and welcoming. They had so... More

It doesn't get more friendly and knowledgable than this...think boutique hotel, inspired decor and large airy rooms coupled with a comfy large bed, and the ability to do self catering if required ( we only managed to stretch to coffee!) Their breakfast was delicious too with a nice choice, all freshly cooked and a change from the expected offering. All... More

We stayed here at the start of our holiday to Cape Town and were warmly greeted by Ursuala and Michel. Apart from a slight blip during our stay we found the boutique hotel charming, with immaculate "quirky" rooms & attentive staff. Breakfasts were both healthy and tasty with good food choices. This Boutique hotel is ideally situated for exploring the... More

We spent 3 nights in Rouge On Rose, as part of a longer visit to South Africa. We were very impressed with this boutique hotel. In terms of location, it's right in the middle of the city in the interesting Bo Kaap district with its colourful houses. It's a 5 minute walk from Long Street, where there are a whole... More
