The hotel is a walking distance to the Convention centre where the jazz festival is held. On the ground floor is the food court. The rooms are nice and clean. I can recommend anyone to go there. And the hotel is also not far from the city centre where u can do your shopping and along the street there are... More

I picked up a great deal on booking.com for the penthouse suite. Honestly I did not expect much due to the mixed reviews. We arrived early and our room was not ready. We then left our bags and asked if they'd take it up when the room was ready. They said yes but never did. After doing the hop on... More

This hotel is 4 star rated but in my opinion its not more than 3.The rooms are basic but more than adequate for holiday purposes .There is an excellent view of table top mountain and the street below .There is an excellent power shower, the beds are comfortable and would appear to be changed daily. The biggest fault is that... More

We spent two weeks at this hotel, me, my wife and our 1 year daughter. The apartment was big enough for the baby, has a well equipped kitchen and nice bed. The window's view was GREAT, was possible seeing the Table Mountain. The employees were fine, and helpful. The pool was closed during all my stay. There was no breakfast,... More

We booked and paid for an apartment at icon 3 months in advance only to arrive in cape town after 25 hours flying to be told expedia had cancelled the booking and shown a piece of paper with the booking name (and several others) under the heading of "double booked rooms". I rang expedia they said the hotel has overbooked... More

Negatives: We booked a double bedroom suite and on arrival was told that none were available but we could have 2 single bedroom suites next to each other. We were OK with this as we were all adults but there would be a problem if you were travelling with small children. No free Wifi and min cost of Wifi Card... More

I stayed for almost 3 weeks at this hotel and had to buy many wifi cards because the time ran out so quickly due to dropped connections and the fact that they don't tell you that you have to completely sign off not only on the log off page but also on the wifi connection itself. This was a new... More

We stayed at the Urban in March 2012 and choose the hotel as it was an apartment hotel near the start of the Cape Argus Bike race. We were upgraded to a three bedroom suite. The accommodation includes a kitchen but has no internal laundry facility. There is a Laundrette in the building that charged R65 ( about $8.50) for... More
