The moment you walk into Parker Cottage you feel welcome. The chalk board welcoming you is just the beginning! The hospitality is second to none. Phil, Phaedra and Tomas are delightful and couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions on daily outings and restaurant reservations. I don't think "no" is in their vocabulary! They were also extremely responsive to every...

We selected Parker Cottage for two, 3-night stays in Cape Town because everyone on Trip Advisor raved about the hospitality and service from Phil and his staff. They were wrong: it was even better than what people wrote. Phil, Tomas, Phaedra, Jameson, and the entire staff were charming, helpful, gracious, and welcoming from the moment we arrived until the day...

The top B&B we have stayed at in our many years of travel. At first glance, the price might seem a bit high, but the comfort, the superb breakfasts, the staff and the location deem it quite reasonable. Phil and Tomas take care of all your needs, e.g. car rental, guides, safe taxis, concert tickets, precise tourist information, recommending and...

How lucky we were to stay for four nights due to a cancellation. Phil and his staff went out of their way to give us an unforgettable holiday. Phil was able to pre-book our accommodation and car hire along the Garden Route which saved a lot of time and stress. I don't think we would have found many of them...

This was the perfect place for a 5-night stay on our first visit to Cape Town: walking distance from town centre and plenty of good eateries very nearby; but you can also park car safely outside and it's easy to drive to seaside, Cape of Good Hope, vineyards etc should you wish. The B and B itself is delightful, with...

We stayed here for four nights at the end of Jan 2017. Parker Cottage is well located close to good restaurants, coffee shops and bars. It has lots of character, lovely clean rooms, really friendly and welcoming staff and a fantastic breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Do you want comfortable beds? Do you want staff that are courteous without being obsequious? Do you want hands on management? Do you want to be treated as family rather than the punter you really are? Do you want them to have prepared apps for your visit? Do you want them to have cultivated and mentored other enterprises that work...

This place is amazing but what makes it truly memorable is the staff and owners. Always willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The breakfasts are gourmet and the beds uber comfortable. Centrally located.

We really enjoyed our stay at Parker Cottage. We received so many good tips and help on what to do, the website has many sources and we sat with Phil for coffee when we just arrived, and he was so kind in helping us plan our stay. We were treated so nicely, and the house itself is beautifully designed and...

We spent three nights at the Parker Cottage. We had one of the small rooms. Although small it had plenty of space and the staff and location more than made up for the small room. Breakfast at the Parker Cottage was a 10. It is located in a perfect location for everything you want to do in Cape Town. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Parker Cottage! We’re a little different than the usual hotel or guesthouse experience. Rather than being just a conventional ‘place to sleep’, we offer a very much unplugged, urban retreat right in the creative heart of Cape Town. So although we offer free and fast internet, we don't do minibars, piped music or even reception desks. Think of us like a country house in the middle of the city. We’re the kind of place where you can rediscover the art of conversation, endless breakfasts and total serenity. Parker is a social place too: our legendary free wine evenings occur at least twice a week and there’s no ‘cut off’ time for our gourmet breakfasts either. ... more   less
