I was offered dinner and given the time, I was told I could only have the knuckle stew. I was happy about the food availability nonetheless. The stew was however very salty and I mentioned this to the staff to which I only received a stare, as if to say "are you mad" The front end reception staff are not...

I visited this hotel in November 2015 for 2 nights. We were at the hotel early and check in is at 2pm. My hubby and I decided to take a walk to Green Market square to while away the time. On our return at 1pm we informed the ladies at check in that we were there. One particular lady with...

We had to find a new conference venue with no warning. The Cape Town Lodge was unknown to us and just the choice of an emergency web search but we were so well rewarded for our choice. Within an hour the details were sorted and we were at the venue and in process. Our conference name was on the electronic...

No personalised service. Unwilling to accommodate any special request. Surly staff- who actually encouraged me to write about my experiences on Tripadvisor- seems to be issues with management. Have to pay for wifi, parking, a breakage deposit per day payable upfront! Lots of tourists, who will get a negative perception about South Africans. Avoid!!.

This is an ok hotel. The rooms and the bathrooms are clean and comfortable. One side of the hotel has rooms looking onto Table Mountain but many of the rooms are 'internal' and the windows look into a courtyard with little natural light. The design of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The stairwells are accessed by 'emergency'...

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was large and came with amazing views of Table Mountain (see photo). It's in a superb location, just a few minutes walk from Long St and Kloof St and only a few minutes in a taxi to the Waterfront. It's also right opposite the amazing suburb of Bo Kaap (well worth a...
