Excellent interiors and staff, very good location, spirit of old country. Breakfast could be better, but still good. In spite it is not close to the Waterfront it is worth to stay there to see the heart of Cape Town.

This historic hotel was saved from the wrecking ball along with a full block of chic restaurants and shops and is now a nice place to get to all the sights in central city. The food is great, the rooms are large and the outdoor patio doubles as chic restaurants at night and a quiet private space for a lovely...

We stayed for a few days at the start of April 15. It is a little gem of a hotel, and as a previous reviewer said quite quirky. The room we had was very large and decor suited age and style of building, in a good way. Service helpful and friendly. If you want a modern hotel with identical rooms...

Lovely hotel with great service, ambience and location; it was all the previous positive reviewers had promised. From checking in (cold local craft beer in hand) the friendly and helpful staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable and special.

Two stays. Worth going for one of the larger rooms/suites - all distinctively furnished. Very personal and helpful service from Sam and Teej at the front desk. Appreciated the traditional city centre location - easy walking distance to Long St, Greenmarket Square, Company Gardens etc. and great restaurants share the Heritage Square block. V&A Waterfront just a R40 taxi fare...

The Cape Heritage Hotel is fantastic on so many levels. We've stayed with them a total of 18 nights during three different vacations. The bedrooms are beautiful, the decor unique and homey. The breakfast is a large spread of yogurt, fruit, cheese, delicious coffee, cereals, eggs, pancakes, the whole works. The little soaps and shampoo are luxurious. However, what makes...

From the moment we arrived the hotel staff made us feel special. First, checking in was conducted in the picturesque vinery that forms a corridor from the reception proper to the central open air courtyard, home to one of the splendid restaurants that form part of the restored block that includes the hotel. Nice to fill in a form with...

Charming restored decor, amazing staff, nice breakfast, convenient location, clean and comfortable. I'd stay again. Close to African Cafe and Gren Market Square for crafty tables. Easy daytime walk to the waterfront for tourist attractions .

A lovely authentic hotel with real character. The staff can not do enough to help and gave good advice on the local attractions and how best to visit them. It's about a 10 minute walk from the waterfront but I think it's worth it to have a more african experience rather than stay in a chain hotel that could be...
