We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of our trip to South Africa at the end of September and it was a great start. We arrived late direct form the airport and the friendly security guard showed us to our rooms, carried our bags and made sure we were all OK. The room we had was large, comfortable and...

We stayed at The Floréal House in Cape Town for 3 nights in July/August. It was a breath of fresh air after roughing it up a bit at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We arrived late from the airport and were pleasantly shown our rooms which were clean, spacey and very nicely decorated. AND, get this: we had WI-FI in our...

The rooms were quite large, maybe slightly old-fashioned interior though. The hostesses were super friendly and helped us out in finding restaurants in the neighborhood. The location is decent: a beautiful view of table mountain but it's some ways from the city center. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous and included a 'health shot'. Good laundry service too.

What a wonderful manager, She was extremely helpful and accommodating. Whilst a great location for the tour buses, it was quite a way outside of town, and up a long and steep hill, so if you are not very mobile it could be a problem if you aim to get around on the tour buses and don't have a car....

A bit outside of central Cape Town where it is all happening, but a walk of about 40 minutes, all downhill, takes care of that. And there are (not expensive) taxis everywhere to take you back! The room was excellent, very spacious, with a fridge, tea and coffee, good bathroom, wonderful shower, great beds. Don't use the safe: the code...

Had a wonderful welcome and stayed for four nights. The room we had number two had magnificent views of table mountain and also downtown Cape Town. This was possible because of large windows around the room. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff were great going out of their way to make sure your stay was memorable We will be...

We spend multiple nights in this guest house. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is in a quiet area of capetown with an excellent view to the table mountain. Capetown restaurants are within walking distance. The hostess was very friendly and the service was superb!

What a warm welcome at Floreal House. Bedroom was fabulous, breakfasts were delicious, complimentary sherry on the hall, table, and the staff are truly our of this world. They even arranged dinner on request one evening! Across the street there is a very pleasant little delicatessen with good cappuccino ! And all this with magnificent Table Mountain as a backdrop.

We spend 3 nights in Floreal House. Although we've seen more luxurious hotels, the Floreal House gave us the feeling of being at home. After a long trip around South Africa this is so nice! The rooms are large and clean, the 'sound' of the old floors belongs to this old house. Breakfast is delicious and served by a very...

“We had a room on the ground floor which was fine, very well equipped. Other rooms in the building are on upper floors and some even have air-conditioning, which we did not need, but we had no outside space to sit quietly and read a book, this could only be done around the pool area.”
