We stayed at Blackheath Lodge for 3 nights and loved it! Everyone was super friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the great location of the hotel. When we needed tips for our hike or help with making reservations at restaurants, they helped us out! :) Our room was spacious we really liked the interior and decoration of it.
Our stay at Blackheath Lodge was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a drink and cake. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and all the staff helped us with tips and advice for things to visit as well as with booking of activities. The room was outstanding, really luxurious. The bed was so comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
Travelling with a toddler is hard but blackheath made it a pleasure. We booked a large room so we could fit in our floor bed. The team arranged a room with a safe little courtyard and a bath with was vital. Everyone from the security to the waiters to the managers treated us and our little ones like royalty - no dark looks here when a tantrum was inbound. Could not recommend more.
This is a small beautiful hidden gem. Spacious rooms. some with an outdoor space, great staff, beautiful grounds and nice small pool. Delicious breakfast and cozy bar. A great place to stay in Cape Town.
What a gem!! A beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful, friendly staff, comfy beds, delicious breakfast. We recommend the eggs Benedict! The bar area is a lovely space to chill out at the end of the evening and chat to other guests. We could not find fault with anything! Just a lovely relaxed stay. Thank you Riano, Karin and everyone else. A special stay. We will be back.
We were privileged to be the first guests in Villa Loren which was absolutely gorgeous! We had accidentally made a booking mistake but Karin, Mike and all the team went out of their way to help amend and accommodate us. The whole lodge is so stunning and the staff couldnt be more helpful and welcoming. Really such a gem and very close to the waterfront.
What an amazing place to stay. This is a long over due review, but from recent reviews I can tell the place is just as great. The hotel is beautiful and is in a good location for exploring Cape Town. But what really makes this place great is the outstanding service from the staff. From activity recommendations, to food reservations to even helping us with our onward travel in South Africa nothing was too much trouble - Karin and Riano were incredible. I also couldn’t leave a review without mentioning Rianos delicious carrot cake - i definitely put on a few pounds! We would always come back and stay here when visiting Cape Town
This was a wonderful, welcoming location with excellent, friendly staff and impeccable service. We got coffee delivered to our door in the morning and the breakfasts were fabulous. On our departure day we were able to not only store our luggage but had the use of a large bedroom and shower in which to change and freshen up before our flight. I highly recommend this establishment.

I had the privilege of staying at Blackheath Lodge for the past two nights and look forward to my return. Comforting, homely feel in a beautiful townhouse where every detail has been carefully considered from start to finish. Inspiring decor and the friendliest, most hospitable staff. I really enjoyed my chats with Karin, a big thank you for all the extra tips and extensive knowledge of the must-sees while in Cape Town.
