As part of our honeymoon this was our first stop. The B&B is very tranquil inside, nice and quiet with a fabulous courtyard by the pool area. I could not fault the cleanliness of the place, it was immaculate! Rooms were bright, and every inch pristine! wonderful big showers and very spacious. We found all the staff friendly but some...

We arrived tired, miserable and feeling grim. Our room wasn’t ready (it was 8am) but Michelle, an angel in Vivienne Westwood flip-flops, sent us off to get showered and changed and then fed us, in the dappled shade of the veranda overlooking the pool, the best breakfast in Cape Town; Bircher muesli, mini filo quiches, fruit, yoghurt, juices, cheeses, mini...

We spent two nights in the luxurious Blackheath Lodge and loved it. Our room was much bigger than expected and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts - taken on a verandah overlooking the pool area below - were exceptional and offered a wide variety of options beyond the norm. Omelettes, pancakes, warm mini-quiches were all freshly prepared by the happy and friendly...

We are convinced that the Blackheath Lodge is the most charming place in Cape Town. It was the perfect start for our 3 week trip in South Africa. Antony and the staff are such friendly people. The breakfast was prepared with love and the pancakes were excellent. Thank you so much! It was a wonderful and happy time. We would...

I found Blackheath Lodge online searching for a small place to stay for a few days after being in Cape Town on business. What a remarkable find. The place is charming, the staff friendly, the Sea Point location is perfect (4 blocks from the sea and a half hour walk to the V&A waterfront), and the breakfast consistently delicious. I...

Sometimes with these overwhelmingly positive reports, you really think is this just too good to be true? With Blackheath Lodge, yes....it is all true. I cannot think of one thing to fault it. As we arrive, tired after a long flight, we are sat down and given a lovely breakfast (from a selection of fruit, granola, yoghurts, quiches, perfect scrambled...

We loved the Blackheath Lodge! EVERYONE was so pleasant and helpful. Antony runs a very nice place. More than we could have ever asked for. No need for a car as it is within 20 minutes walking to just about everywhere. Breakfast was a highlight of every day with pastries, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, and whatever you want....just...

We spent a week here at the beginning of our touring holiday and what a perfect start it made. We had a lovely big and sunny room (number 6 - more a junior suite in size and furnishings) which is at the top of the house and has windows on three sides with views of the Lion's Head and (just)...

My husband and I stayed at Blackheath Lodge in February 2012 for 5 nights. This was our second stay at the guest house. We are South Africans who have been living abroad for many years and we wanted to return to Blackheath Lodge as we had received such great service the first time. Well, we weren't disappointed! The warm welcome...

I was expecting Anthony's place to be very good as reported by the many reviews on Trip Advisor . However, this was exceeded in all areas. He arranged a taxi from the Airport and gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived. Its a lovely relaxing place and in a very nice area. We had a lovely room at...
