The hotel is well positioned, with walking distance of the V&A waterfront and restaurants in the city centre. The room was a bit small, only 1 bedside table could fit next to the bed. The bathroom was large bathroom although only had a shower, Staff were very friendly and food/drink prices reasonable other than R170 for breakfast. Overall good value...

The hotel is very well placed for the Waterfront and Exhibition Centre, so for business it's great. The actual facilities are ok, if a little dated - although the gym really can't be called one as it's just a room with a few free weights in it. Bar and breakfast were both good and very friendly.

Very nicely located and rooms have all your basic needs including mini fridge . Beds are really comfy too . Bar staff and Check in staff were super friendly and helpful .I was however incredibly disappointed that there was no mention in the rooms of Cape Town's water crisis -a little note asking guests to be aware of their water...

The venue of this hotel is perfect, close to the waterfront and walking distance from many amazing places to eat and drink. Our conference went off well. Food was good and service great. The real downside was the rooms, they just need a facelift, my aircon was very noisy and not very effective which was horrible given how hot it...

Unfortunately the hotel needs some more standardization, maintenance as well as refurbishing the furniture. At arrival there was no porter to help with three luggages, later the receptionist apologized. Room is not very clean as shown in the images, carpet stains as well as a stain on the towel. Shower drainage had a problem, were water used to take so...

While the lobby lounge, dining and reception areas are all very sleak and modern looking, something inmediately feels "off" upon arrival. Stranglely located poles and safety rails, elevators that seem to not work every time. Yes, the lobby is clean, but the rooms are not kept to the same standard. Mould in the shower (room 413 for hotel staff reading...

For $130 per night you can do much much better in Cape Town. I was given a room facing the grimy wall of the next building- between rooms booked by young Rugby Tour players. I wasn't offered a porter to help with my suitcase, although men waiting were. I was woken from 10pm through till 4am with the noise from...

If you are looking for an economy no frill accommodation and dining, which is also centrally located in Cape Town - then Fountains should feature in your shortlist. I stayed at this property for 2 nights at the beginning of the busy tourist season in Cape Town, so the price was not really economy. Thus I ended up with mid-scale...
