After a week in Joburg for work, my husband and I traveled to Cape Town for vacation. Our room was quite nice although the bathroom was down some narrow stairs which made me a little nervous in the middle of the night. The two resident dogs were a joy - entertaining us as we relaxed by the pool after a...

We are happy to have stayed at Rutland Lodge in January for 3 nights - the home is beautiful and located in a picture perfect suburb with views of the cable car to Table Mountain. Sonia and the team were always welcoming and friendly - willing to go the extra mile to make our stay extra pleasant.

The Rutland Lodge is a beautiful family home and the owners, Sonia and Thibaut, are very friendly and welcoming, My room was stylish and comfortable and the view from the terrace was stunning. A perfect place to relax and within easy reach of the city - I would definitely recommend staying here.

What a lovely hosting family and what a beautiful lodge! Breakfast is delicious and the rooms are fancy and well furnished with typical African decor. House is safely layed in a villa area but close to the center and the family has lots of good advises for delicious restaurants and places to visit. We enjoyed our stay at the lodge...

The rooms were big and and decorated in african style, but not overstyled. We have had a superior room in the 2nd floor, there we have had a big terasse...

Hosts very friendly, balcony views very good, breakfast a bit basic but very good service. Only disadvantage was a street parking. Close to the centre of the city. Rooms a bit small for the pay price, but a very enjoyable experience overall and would go back.

We stayed at the Rutland Lodge for four nights and loved every minute of it. The room was quiet, comfortable and well appointed, the bathroom was modern and had everything we needed, Including a lovely large tub. Our room was on the second floor and had a balcony overlooking Cape Town. Our hostess, Sonia, made restaurant bookings for us each...

Sonia & Thibeaut could not have been more gracious & accommodating. Breakfast in the garden, delicious. Our room, although the shower/toilet small, was comfortable & opened onto the pool where we often found ourselves enjoying a quick dip or sitting & relaxing. Would definately return.
