We spent 2 weeks at the Cactus House. It is pretty close to the centre of Cape Town, everything is in easily accessible by car, cab or even in walking distance. The rooms are spacious (especially for a guest house) and very clean. Very nice breakfast including fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice and always some cooked breakfast as well (eggs, omelets,...

Looking for the perfect combination of class, hospitality, and friendliness for less than $100/night? Try the Cactus House, a small shady gay B&B located in a charming old Victorian in the Garden area of Cape town. I stayed here for 3 days in December after a conference and felt right at home. The guest house is full of cosy yet...

We planned to stay only 3 nights and extended our stay because Jules and his staff created the best atmosphere ever. We felt like home and enjoyed the loving service! We will definitely come back! Our host Jules gave us great tour tipps and organized wonderful dinner moments.

Just stayed here with my partner and greatly enjoyed the accommodation, and particularly the welcome and hospitality. We had one of the first floor rooms with a view of Table Mountain and a balcony which I would recommend in the summer. But the key to the stay was the fact that Julian is a superb host, and an excellent builder...

I finally got to stay at this guesthouse after months of bad planning from my side. What a good experience! Julian was an excellent host - very accommodating and pays attention to your needs. The rooms were very spacious and I loved the recently refurbished bathroom. The fireplace added to the cosy atmosphere. Julian is extremely down to earth and...

The decor and room is comfortable and contemporary. Julian and Albert and even Ant the dog ensured that every need was met. Even with the dreary weather and wild nights out they ensured that one is comfortable and a freshly brewed pot of coffee and or breakfast (rather brunch) is waiting. The Cactus House is centrally located and a short...

Love this guest house! Julian and Simon were superb hosts and the accommodation is beautiful. Breakfasts were different everyday. I loved having a bathtub on the balcony with views of the majestic Table Mountain. It is located opposite a park and within short walking distance from some great restaurants Can't wait to return!
