We found this hotel to be quaint, excellent value for money and located a stone's throw away from the beach. We found the surroundings to be serene and the service to be friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely.

A great 6 day stay. Comfy room, satisfying breakfast, very friendly staff. Suggestion One mirror in room 17 to be raised by 8 inches Bathroom needs a shelf next to basin Upgrade to a better DSTV choice of programmes

The room can be upgraded with a more modern touch and upmarket feature which makes it more attractive and desired. Some other facilities were outdated and not functioning well. I think some renovations might be needed to make the hotel more attractive given the location and close proximity to the ocean, which could be exploited .

Baleens has friendly staff with a harty welcome. The games room is great for the family to enjoy together. The outdoor area makes for good oudside sports play and there is a great pool and braai area for a relaxing evening. Will revisit anytime

This was my favourite guest house on our trip to South Africa. Baleens has a certain charm to it that is hard to describe. The room was efficiently layed out and the beds were very good quality. The breakfast we excellent. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to linger.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baleens. There was a comfort of home and a personal touch. Friendly and helpful staff. Only improvement with breakfast would be something extra like mushrooms and/or sausage. Other than that a lovely place and well managed. Keep up the great service.

Out of the centre of Hermanus in a quiet area. Lovely surrounding views to sit amongst for an early evening appetiser. Friendly staff; honesty bar; games room to have some fun in. Rooms are pleasantly equipped for the short stay we had there. Ours opened onto the lawn where we sat and enjoyed a coffee in the late afternoon sun.

Baleens is a pleasant hotel with efficient staff and service. The rooms are comfortable., but be warned that your privacy will be compromised if your room happens to be near the swimming pool! The breakfast menu is good. A restaurant at a nearby beach is excellent and obviates the necessity of travelling to town for other meals. Overall, Baleens offers...

We found this spot to be clean and cheerful and a great price. The staff were welcoming however I feel they could have shown us around when we arrived in a better fashion. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they were gracious to allow our small family dog to stay. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly....
