We were so happy to find this place for our stay during the Whale Festival. Every other place got ridicously expensive during this time, but this was still affordable. The location is great, right in the town so you can walk everywhere. The room was nice. The owners were actually away during our stay but the parents were also good...

My wife and I had a great 3 day stay at this gem of a Guest lodge, lovely ground and a big pool. Also had an amAzing breakfast. The owners where very helpful and told us of all the nice walks and places to eat, I would highly recommend this place if you want to explore Hermanus by foot.

We had a very nice stay here. The room was spacious and clean and had great WiFi. The owner was very friendly and answered all our questions. He's also a chef and cooked up a great breakfast for us. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. We walked to the restaurants after dark with no problems. We'd recommend staying here!

We just love Hermanus and visit often from the UK. The Cottage has been our base in Hermanus for years. The welcome is so warm and you definitely can't find a better location. A short walk gets you to the sea for whale watching or into town for restaurants, bars and shopping etc. Our favourite places to eat are the...

I have read through the wonderful reviews about this place and am still trying to find it. We were booked in there on a recommendation. Although the owner was very friendly, the room we were given was old, tired and had a very bad smell. When I got to the bathroom, I knew I could never use the shower it...

This was our 3rd visit to this fabulous B&B. We were a party of 6 and rented 3 rooms (this B&B has 4 rooms in total) for 6 nights. The reasons why this B& B is so good are as follows : 1) Its location : the house is situated in Eastcliff in Hermanus which is the best place to...

Stumbled across this gem by chance and the delightful welcome from the host Jan made us feel right at home. Lovely accommodation in a great location, would thoroughly recommend. I loved the landscape painting in the bedroom which on closer look the signature appears to be jan's, so very impressed.

On the way from Capetown to Gardenroute we were looking for the whales. The Cottage was the right place! We received an amazing hospitality by the hosts. A warm welcome, good recommendations for whale spotting and hiking. We've got nice rooms with a wonderful garden to have the coffee outside. This made the stop almost perfect. Finally the perfect breakfast...

This was our third stay as a family of five (three children aged 14, 11 & 8) at Jan & Sarie fantastic cottage. The welcome is genuine, the accommodation clean & comfortable, and ideally placed for walking to the bay or town and a short drive to Grotto Beach. Great attention to detail including books, magazines and local art in...
