Lovely people and a beautiful home. A little far from the square where the restaurants are but the setting is second to none. You may have to use your car but it's worth it. Some lovely touches like an evening drink left in the room every night.

Very nice accommodation with super high teas provided each afternoon. Very helpful owner and, although the house is situated up on the cliffs, it is a lovely few minutes walk into town or, in the other direction , to the old harbour. A good choice if you're visiting Hermanus.

Hermanus was the mid-point stop on our honeymoon. We chose Hermanus to enjoy the small town atmosphere and to do shark cage diving nearby in Gansbaai. We picked Auberge Provence based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The setting is ideal. Right on the cliffs with direct access to the cliffside trails. Definitely book an ocean facing room on...

Magnificent setting / facility / room and truly 5 star hospitality from genuine South African human gems, Hester, Agnes and Veronica. Having numerous guest houses in the Western Cape and Boland, as well as in the rest of South Africa and abroad, we can state without doubt or fear of contridiction that the hospitality easily surpasses anything we have ever...

Wonderful accommodation, comfort and service. Attention to detail and no request was a problem. Hester was a wonderful host and the high tea is not to be missed with all the favourite South African treats

Second visit and still the best. It was lovely to meet Rie again before she headed off for the weekend. A lovely person. Hester who had only been there for a couple of weeks was left in charge, and turned out to be a fabulous host. The guest house is right on the cliff path, so a few minutes walk...

Lovely serene and quiet venue. We loved the attention to detail and was made to feel most welcome (glass of wine on arrival, weather forecast, restaurant booking etc). The large bathroom was the cherry on a lovely cake. We'll definately go back.

AP is certainly very comfortable, with an airy breakfast room (for top class breakfasts) and lounge where we had the excellent complimentary afternoon tea. It's nicely situated too on the cliff path running into town and to the new harbour, and our room and others on the side facing the sea have magnificent views. On the downside, too much noise...

Thank you for your positive comments on the comfort, breakfasts, high teas and location. The suite you occupied is situated on it's own, away from all the other rooms, so we are not sure to what noise you are referring. Had you brought it to our attention during your stay we could have addressed it. We do charge for bottled...

Ideally situated on the cliff facing the ocean this beautifully decorated guesthouse is a small part of Provence in Hermanus. Free car parking, Flat 15-20 minute walk on the coastal path into town, quality linens & bath products.
