Tranquil beauty, we were very comfortable here. A must see is jubilee creek waterwall and the drupkelders. The cottages are well equipped and clean and comfortable. Well kept and maintained grounds. The owner's go to a lot of effort!

We stayed at the Forest Edge cottages for a mtb weekend in the Garden route. Located next to the indigenous Knysna Forest, it was perfect for our needs. The cottages are well equipped with all you need….wifi, dstv, and good linen in the luxury cottages. The luxury (i.e. 5-star) tag is a generous one though…I’d probably give it a 3-star...

Thanks for your feedback, it is much appreciated. We're glad you guys enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to welcoming you back to our magical forest retreat. We are indeed a TGCSA 3-star graded establishment, as is clearly indicated on our website. I suspect the "luxury tag" is due to the fact that we deliver a superior...

Spoiled!!!! Warm and cozy - basket with fresh veg, fruit and honey and the warmest welcoming smile from both Danie and Amanda - new owners. Went to bed with frogs chatter and woke up with birdsong. Discovered that this place really is on the edge of the forest. The 'Dripkelder' hike more or less starts at there stoep's edge. Much...

Don't believe in too good to be true? Then this is the place to have your mind changed. You get more than advertised, right from the word welcome by Dries and Susan. And then follows the charming views and beautiful, well maintained and practical houses with a stoep, right on the edge of the forest. Be sure to keep an...

Traveling with a 3 year old boy is challenging, and as parents you always have a sense of apprehension finding that ideal place to nurture your family holiday experience to the max. Laaities are difficult to please. Well folks, this place ticked all the boxes. We booked a unit and got the extra bits, which meant when we got there,...

Fabulous place. Right on the Forest edge! We had a great 9 km circle in the forest walk and say Knysna Loerie, Nerina Trogon and Olive Woodpecker. Hospitality was great! The grounds are beautiful and loads of places to sit and meditate, read a book or watch the birds.

What a love surprise, the photos are exactly what you get. We checked in, and thought it would be close to shops to go out again and purchase goodies to eat and drink. Our car was a very low car, and we did not really want to travel on the dirt roads back and forth. However, our hosts were fantastic,...

You can't get more hidden away. These delightful woodcutter cottages are nestled at the very edge of the magical Knysna Forest. All the luxury you need but rustic and cute at the same time. Take good wine, delicious food and light the fires inside .....and hope you hear soft rain on the tin roof. Delicious!

We spent 3 nights at Forest Edge and this was our second time there. Truly ideal for nature lovers, being close to the Knysna forest. Well recommended is the "Drupkelders" walking trail next to the property. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the Homtini river. The donkeys was a treat for my girl. Although the price is a bit steep, it...
