Great corner room with balcony overlooking the canal . It lacks privacy and one can feel claustrophobic The decor of the hotel with turbines is original and interesting. The food is absolutly delicious.

It was areal treat to stay in a great hotel , we had a room at the back over looking the canal and swimming pool. The Staff could not do enough of us, it was Jeans birthday, the team remembered and made a great fuss. Food in the restaurant was first class, a great menu , the service was great...

The hotel interior was excellent and so were the rooms the only thing i would change is the windows the service was a little slack. Breakfast was average staff service not up to five star standards. The location of this hotel was perfect for our business trip.

Dear mrs Thank you for taking the time to respond to us. We appreciate your positive comments on the hotel rooms, due to our heritage status the hotel is designed around this. I am very disappointed to learn about your breakfast service and I do apologise for this. I have addressed this with the team and will continue our aim...

Very quirky hotel with unique interior; I doubt there is anything similar worldwide. Lovely room with great views, but layout with respect to wardrobes hemmed in by bed, could be improved. However, I accept that there has to be some compromise when converting a power station into an hotel!

We stayed here for a short visit to Knysna and will be back in January with friends, superb location, fantastic staff, we had a small room as a last minute booking, however it was still perfect. Location is great next to a range of restaurants

Five stars across the board sums up our visit to Knysna in general and The Turbine in particular. The hotel has been cleverly and beautifully re-incarnated from its former life as a power station which is complemented by the enthusiasm and friendliness of every single member of staff, its stunning location and an assortment of activities in the immediate area....

This is a fabulous hotel with trendy decor in the expensive development on Thesen island. Have not stayed here but enjoying a lovely cappuccino on the sweet little pool deck overlooking the water. Would definitely stay here over any other hotel I have seen in Kynsna, which from what I've seen so far is rather over-hyped. Beware all the hotels...

The interior is very unique with all the boilers etc. left / built into the hotel. The service was exceptional as was the restaurant. I would definitely go again and recommend the hotel to anybody looking for a unique and cosy stay!
