I stayed for three nights and loved every moment of my stay at the hotel. I was in room 112, "Seeds and Pods". I treated myself to two spa treatments and it was fabulous. The ladies were so friendly and warm, as were the staff (kitchen, reception etc) of the hotel as well. The history behind its existence is fascinating.... More

Very nice hotel with a cool location. The room was lovely, with an amazing view. A good restaurant and a bar are also in the hotel. The hotel can be easily reached by car. The surroundings sre very nice.

We had a great two nights at the Turbine. Great location, amenities and service with a smile. The hotel's history is fascinating, and they've carried the concept through to the last detail - even the napkin rings. Spa was fantastic too. Highly recommended.

A cold, rainy anniversary getaway in September. We found the hotel to be very romantic, relaxing, quirky, stylish and comfortable. Every nook and corner has details reminiscent of the hotel's old world historic charm, mixed with a surreal modern quirk. The fusion of bright colours and timeless design is a feast for the eyes. The rooms are well thought of... More

Stopped off on Thesen Island in Knysna looking for somewhere to have a 30 minute massage. When we enquired they were happy to have walk-ins but were fully booked. So we went to the restaurant to grab a coffee and the therapist came to find us to say she could fit us in right that minute. The coffee was not... More

This is just such a special place. Actually defies description. I wonder who the person was who looked at this old power station and said ( I can see a hotel underneath all the rubble). Staff are excellent and the decor and food are superb.

I did not get to experience the spa due to tight schedule. I will book a weekend and come and experience the spa. Amazing place to stay... More

My stay at the hotel was really comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The interior decor of the hotel is also something very special indeed. It's not everyday that you get to be in a luxury hotel that has turbines all over the place. It's also done so well that it fits seamlessly with... More
