We stayed at the Graywood on New Years. It was really ideal as the location is super central. We parked the car on arrival and only used it again when we left 2 days later. Check in was super easy as we book via booking.com, The barman wasn't really around the bar all the time but when you needed him... More

We stayed here last month, and had an excellent 2-night stay. Delighted to find a tree full of weaver birds making their nests right outside our room. A good rustic atmosphere - no pretensions but clean and quiet, walking distance to the waterfront and its many good restaurants. No fridge in the room, but staff most willing to provide us... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group tour. Reached late afternoon after a long drive and check-in was swift. My room was right behind reception on the ground floor, really warm and cosy. The wooden construction with bright fabrics made it feel very welcoming. Very clean bathroom with a shower over bathtub, nice toiletries, plenty of towels.... More

Stayed in Graywood hotel for 2 nights. I emailed the Hotel asking for a quiet room. We heard noisey bus parties arrive and leave very early in the morning. Buses revving up their engines at outside our room waiting on the parties leaving. Things got worse when at least 20 Harley Davidson bikers arrived. The bikes made a horrendous noise.... More

We stayed with a group of forty ppl, all went very well, the breakfast is excellent, with lots of fresh fruit and a great choice of different things, just a short walk from the waterfront and shopping mall. Rooms are small but clean.

This motel-style hotel was comfortable and clean, and was a good base for exploring Knysna, being close to the waterfront and shops etc. Amenities were fairly basic, with a good breakfast but the bar was always empty and no evening food is served. Reception staff were not particularly friendly.

We chose this hotel for the convenient location--walking distance to the waterfront quay & restaurants, bars, shops, water activities, etc. Free wi-fi is available in the public areas, the breakfast is simply outstanding, & the small bar (open evenings) is located beside a cozy sitting area w/fireplace--it was cold in the evenings--large screen TV, & comfy table & chair groupings.... We had been to Knysna on our Garden Route trip in April 2014. And we were booked at The Graywood by our travel agent for 2 nights. The hotel is located at a walkable distance from the knysna quays which harbours some shopping areas and good restaurants. The wooden interiors are fabulous & staff are pleasant . The rooms are... I wasn't keen on the outside of this hotel- but after driving into Knysna late afternoon we decided to check it out. What a lovely surprise ! The outside doesn't do it justice- it wont disappoint. The mature plants surround a small but adequate pool which give the upper wooden floor a charming outlook. The cabosse theme and train artefacts... More
