Knysna Terrace Guesthouse is absolutely perfect! Maureen (Owner) made our stay at the guesthouse extra special by surprising us with a lovely bottle of champagne and chocolates to celebrate my birthday. Knysna Terrace Guesthouse is beautiful and spotless with fully equipped rooms ( you even get spoiled with freshly baked cookies in your room to enjoy with your coffee on...

This was a very special experience. We loved the place so much that we decided to stay another day. The décor is charming - actually "WOW" and the breakfast was very good. Madri is an exceptional hostess. Altogether a lovely stay.

Maureen and her staff were friendly and hospitable. We were in Knysna for the Big5 Challenge. The breakfasts had great variety to ensure us tons of energy for our events. Maureen even woke up earlier on certain days to ensure that we ate breakfast before our events. The rooms were spotless and always thoroughly cleaned. Thank you for a wonderful...

This guesthouse is run by a family from Greece, and Greek influences can be found everywhere in the decoration and furniture. It's lovely! When we arrived, we could stay in other rooms than we booked in advance, rooms which were even better. The rooms are clean and tidy. We loved the variation of tea, coffee, cookies, water, milk etc., which...

My husband and I are tourists and we stayed here for 1 night and it was very cozy and our room was decorated beautifully! The breakfast was good as well, but the staff was the best part about the stay. My husband and I were going through an issue where our cc info had been hacked about a week earlier...

I stayed in the self catering flat which is ideal for those travelers with pets. Completely safe enclosed courtyard where your pets can roam without any hassle. There is even a private lawn area for those very private times for your pets. So unique and special is the "Doggie Guest Book" - a wall where you can place their paw...

We arrived here without any bookings, and could get a room and even negotiate the price. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, and their breakfast is beyond expectation. This B&B comes highly recommended, and I will recommend anyone to try them. They have great views from the rooms, and you can just relax in this clean and...

The new owner Maureen Barnard did a fantastic job with Knysna Terrace . The homely elegant atmosphere you get when you enter is an out of this world experience . Breakfast is to die for with a hostess what makes you feel at home. I can recommend it to everyone !

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Knysna Terrace Boutique Guesthouse is a family owned and run guesthouse. At our core we hold to heart the stories from ancient Greece, which would caution mortals that any guest should be treated as if potentially a disguised divinity. It is these principles of hospitality toward any stranger who enters our establishment, and the belief of extending generosity and courtesy to our guests, with a warm-hearted and relaxed atmosphere, that makes us passionate about hospitality, but more especially about making your stay with us as memorable as possible. At Knysna Terrace Boutique Guesthouse we aim to stay true to nature and embrace this beautiful town with its forests, mountains and oceans...thus our décor is Mediterranean-themed, which also pays homage to the phenomenal bird-life in our pristine forests, hence the holding company name Pouli (Pooh-lee)-which is a beautiful Greek work for Bird! We would also like to set your mind at ease that all amenities are biodegradable and environmentally friendly, and our famous breakfasts are prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients...good for the environment, good for you! So ... to get noisy, long reaches, clashing forks, bumps, spills and friendship are all part of our process. They are the happy (and perhaps noisy) atmosphere us Greeks are well-known for, and we love to have our guests join in on our fun! We do hope that you enjoy this unique hospitable experience that we have to offer...our aim is after all, to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as it can be, to allow you to unwind and return home with a warm smile when remembering us...and of course, to have you back every time you visit the beautiful town of Knysna! ... more   less
