A mix of tradition and modernity. It is so elegant and relaxing. This is a mansion that sits on the hills built in the (50's?60's?) restored and decorated tastefully. High up that it has a breathtaking view of the lagoon and the Knysna Heads, especially from the rooms on the top floors. Service is like Daniel Boulud's--the servers wait inconspicuously,...

We stayed at Villa Afrikana a couple of weeks back, what a fantastic little find this place is, there are only a few rooms (6 in total I think) that look out over Knysna, great view of the town. It is ideal for couples or families wanting a luxury stay outside of the main tourist area. The staff can't do...

Wow! Villa Afrikana is truly exceptional. Hats off to Ross and Bianca and their team for off the chart standards of service, welcome and friendliness. In all my years of local and overseas travel I've never experienced this standard before. The location and views are magical overlooking the lagoon and Heads in the distance. Villa Afrikana is inviting and tastefully...

My husband and I stayed in Villa Afrikana for 2 nights on our trip up the garden route. It was a real gem ... the rooms and premises were impeccable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were both friendly and helpful. Having our own access to our room without having to walk through the house, made us feel very...

This place is definetley worth staying at. The premises are pristinely clean, beautifully furnished and well presented, more importantly the attention to detail is astounding. Not only is there a welcome bottle of wine with a message from the owners Ross & Bianca but a nightly turn down service with flowers and chocolates or sweets. Bed linen, towels, bathrobes and...
