We chose this place as it was close to Cango Caves and by the great reviews it got. It was quite difficult to find but once we got there we were greeted by the owner and showed to our room. The room had a patio outside with view out over the beautiful garden. We were served a home made cake...

Nothing wrong with this B&B, clean and neat rooms, very nice surroundings and gardens, decent supper prepared by the owners and very calm and peaceful. We had chosen die Fonteine based on their Tripadvisor reviews. During our two week trip this was the least satisfying experience. The entire room set-up is strange, as the B&B idea seemed to be an...

Lovely guest house set in rural location with great facilities in the room and outside, even a swimming dam. Ansue is an attentive hostess accommodating my husband's dietary requirements. Would happily return allowing more time to see surrounding area.

My son and I stayed just one night in a spacious twin room with a large bathroom and a great view of the garden. We slept well and enjoyed a good breakfast. We had wanted to stay a second night, but unfortunately they were fully booked. Our host organised our second night's accommodation ( also excellent) immediately. This place is...

On driving up the narrow drive to the guesthouse it then spreads into a Florea of beauty. Surrounded by beautiful gardens is the home of sue and Pierre our hosts. Very inviting and welcoming. We were offered carrot cake and sherry in our room on arrival which was delicious. During the evening they laid on a 3 course meal which...

My wife and I spent 5 very nice nights at Die Fontaine. Ansue, our host, was charming, very helpful, and most attentive. Die Fonteine was set in delightfully manicured grounds, and perfectly positioned for the Cango Caves, the Ostrich Farm, as well as the Swartberg Pass to Prince Albert. We also visited the nearby Surval Restaurant and Buffelsdrift, a quality...

We stayed over at Die Fonteine for 1 night and what an amazing and out of this world experience. The hostess was an absolute angel who went out of her way to make our stay one of the best stay-overs ever. Everything about Die Fonteine has the WOW factor and is highly recommendable. Alot of attention and detail has been...

Perhaps my expectations were high due to the previous reviews or perhaps it was a hot day and the owner was not on her A-game. While we expected a warm welcome to the guesthouse, it was a business like abrupt hello - quick instructions - go to your room introduction. I had specifically mentioned my allergies previously and I saw...

While it is quite a way outside Oudtshoorn, it is very convenient for the ostrich farm and cave attractions. Also well placed for the Swartberg Pass, which is well worth doing as art of a round trip. Rooms are nice and well equipped and breakfast good. Grounds were pleasant, especially after a good day's sightseeing. The area was extremely quiet...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This guest house is situated just outside Oudtshoorn on the way to Cango Caves. This guest house is owned and run by Anzue. There are 6 double rooms each with their own entrance and ensuite bathrooms. Rooms are spacious and new with wonderful finishes. The setting of the guest house is beautiful and we loved eating a delicious breakfast while being surrounded by mountains and watching ostriches nearby. I would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment especially to guests touring The Garden Route. ... more   less
