Stayed 1 night as part of our Garden Route tour with Ilios. This place used to be a working farm. Our room was large with wood burning fire, nice comfy bed, sitting area, large bathroom with shower and tub. The kettle was on the porch with the fridge. Dinner was a buffet on our stay. Starters included soup, salad and...

We were part of an Ilios group tour and only stayed here for one night. As stated in other reviews, it is a quaint place with farm artefacts and it has been in the same family for generations. Our stay was comfortable and we had all we needed. The food was country-style and I particularly enjoyed the bobatie. The weather...

My husband and I were only two of four people staying there at the time. It was there low season so on site dinner was not offered. They did however arrange a shuttle to a local restaurant. Room was ok but could use some refreshing There was a strong unpleasant order in our room that smelled like bug spray. We...

We only stayed 1 night as we were travelling through onto Franschhooek and Cape Town, on arrival our reserved room was not ready but we were immediately upgraded to a suite. The suite was large, spacious and comfortable and benefitted from a large bathroom and outdoor veranda. Breakfast was at best average which was a shame as the rest of...

Room dark but functional. Very nice bathroom but shower ran from hot to cold. Wifi virtually non existent. I'm 6 foot 3" tall so and with such a short bed my feet overhung the end. Grounds unusual with lots of old bikes and nicnacs around. Enjoyed some time by the pool on sunloungers with towels provided but no padded covers....

We were on a tour and led to believe that this place was a four star country Lodge. The people were very friendly but the accommodation was average. The water situation in the bathroom was desperate (brown water)!!!! The food also was not of quality. A lot needs to be done to get a four star rating!

We stayed one night at this country hotel- the room was rather tired as was the rest of the hotel- full of family artifacts but not particularly interesting unless you are Dutch. The borehole water was brown and the lighting was poor for shaving. We were disappointed in comparison to other hotels we stayed in.

We had a very long drive to here and had a little bit of trouble finding it. We were welcomed on our arrival and shown to our rooms. They were huge. Unfortunately the view from them was spoiled by a large marquee. The hotel was catering for a wedding. We knew the restaurant wasn't always open but that transport back...

Great place to stay outside of the town and luxurious. It is an absolute joy to arrive here after a day traveling. Great service, lovely room with fabulous bathroom. The bath was great. Breakfast really super: what more could you want?
