How on earth can you give a "terrible" review on the suites?! The amount of details is incredible!! They thought of everything! A little petal of lavender on the towels, hidden candy, bath salt, a complementary bottle of port, a most welcome welcome-drink,... I can just keep going. The suite itself was like going back in time. Kings and queens... More

One of the nicest guesthouses I've ever been to. About 15Km from Oudtshoorn. Stunning accommodation. The rooms are large, charmingly decorated and well-appointed. The entire place is very well kept and run. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Dinner by appointment could be a bit more interesting since the closest restaurants are in Oudtshoorn. However having said that, most restaurants... More

We spent three nights in this Victorian home which was built in 1902. It is really a series of homes with one or two "cottages" built every few years. There is much attention to detail from the lace curtains in the windows to the decanter of Port left in each room. Jenine and Corlu were very helpful in finding local... More

The boutique style hotel has invested a lot in traditional furniture and fittings to enhance the accommodation, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and staff very helpful. I would like to add that Sarita amongst the staff when above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. We were offered the choice of evening meal for the two nights we were... More

Lovely nice guesthouse; the rooms (in separate buildings) have a lot of antique charm. The grounds are very nice. The dinner was a highlight: the ostrich comes highly recommended. Wines were extremely reasonably priced (a good bottle for 100 Rand = $7!).

We stayed here to see some of the interior of SA whilst can't continuing our trip along the garden route after! This is defiantly Ostrich country but not for meat as is not but for the feathers, this industry had long faded but there is plenty to see and do in the area. La Plume is classic luxury and they... Sadly we stayed here only 1 night. We stayed in a little house called Silver Floss (color of ostrich feather) it had a living room and then a huge bedroom with a beautiful bathroom that had a walk in shower and a big tub. I especially liked the 2 sinks. The buffet breakfast was huge, anything you can ask for.... More

We spent a night the place was wonderful and the service was the best. Loved the decor and the farm atmosphere, had my morning coffee in the garden the view was truly space. The area had lots of activities and we tried to enjoy as many as possible with in the short stay we had. Make sure that you spend... More

The La Plume is a little difficult to find. Our GPS was not much help. It is about 8.8 Km from Oudtshoorn on Highway 62, then turn at the sign for another 6.4 Km. Once you get there you will be glad you did. The complex is amazing. The service is fantastic. For what ever reason we got the room... More
