We joined a bush safari as we were not staying at the lodge. The overall experience was excellent enhanced by a very good guide. The trip lasted 2 hours in a Land Rover with 6 guests in total. We saw white rhino, giraffe, zebra and a selection game. The trip culminated at a view point up a very rugged track...

We had a comfortable tent lodge bordering the lake. There were hippos in the lake and a number of animals wandering around the tents. You can go on a drive to see some of the animals, which are fairly limited, cape buffalo, a couple of rhinos and giraffes, and for which you will have to pay to go on a...

We did not stay overnight at the lodge and cannot comment on that. But the morning Bush Safari was absolutely fantastic. We went out as part of a small group which was lovely. Our guide, Llewellyn, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw some beautiful animals and amazing views. A real treat.

Buffelsdrift is a wonderful place, we enjoyed every minute and could have stayed much longer. The perfect location at the waterhole, the luxurious but authentic tent, the delicious food, the animals on the compound and the nature noises at night time - I don't know where to start. Our highlight was a safari with JJ, his knowledge, dedication and love...

We had a pleasant stay at Buffelsdrift Lodge. The food in the restaurant is excellent but the accommodation is a little tired and is in need of refurbishment. The elephant experience is wonderful. The animals are well cared for and their keepers appear to take excellent care of them. The evening game drive is excellent with stunning views. Overall, if...

Ok so we weren't killed by the Hippos. The tents were beautiful and the outside shower was really refreshing. The roll top bath was a nice touch but we didn't actually use it. The best part was when a giraffe casually walked past the tent. I recommend this place to anyone. Such an incredible experience we were sun bathing by...

The lake tents look beautiful, for the amount you pay you expect service to go with it but that's missing completely. Although you think it's not that big, it's actually a big tourist trap while during the day the place is visited by truckloads of day tourists, we went on a safari were the only two from the hotel the...

Thank you very much for your review. Paying almost 300 Euro refers to our most expensive 2 Day Package. You don't mention that this package includes accommodation for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 bush safaris, an elephant feeding experience and also 2 outside activities such as a visit to the Cango Caves, an Ostrich farm etc....

My stay at Buffelsdrift was thoroughly enjoyable. The setting is very relaxing, the staff are friendly and helpful and the safari's are fantastic. The Elephant experience was the highlight of my visit and can only be described as a once in a lifetime experience that can't be missed.
