What a beauty! The character and charm of this place is just fantastic and the views are just as breathtaking. Loved the historic and authentic style of the cottages which were well equipped and very comfortable. Marojean was an excellent host and she even went through the trouble of making a reservation for us at the Biffelsdrift game lodge for...

Lovely bed and breakfast accommodation. Really peaceful and close to amenities. The breakfast is good with lovely fresh homemade bread every morning. Hendrik zn Huisie where we stayed is super with a lovely fireplace.

We just got back from a two night getaway at this rustic property, lovely comfortable bed, fireplace in the lounge, views forever down the valley from a large patio. A filling farmhouse breakfast each day served by the friendly hostess of the manor, with a freshly baked loaf of bread and prickly pear jam. Rooms were comfy and a tv...

For a fascinating and pleasant experience of how our ancestors have lived, this is the perfect address! An old mission bell welcomes you at the teak front door that comes from Cape Governor Simon van der Stel´s hunting lodge! (dating back to the 1600s) The Manor house where you'll have breakfast is immaculately decorated with antique furniture and other pieces...

We booked into Mietas Cottage which was very adequate. The cottages date back some years, and are quaint, but could do with a little bit of and upgrade. Shower floor for example. Obviously you dont want to loose the Cape Dutch influence, but I would have preferred to know that the traffic from the road (which was extremely busy) would...

We stayed here 2 nights whilst visiting the Swartberg Pass and The Hell. It is an acquired taste, only because there are no TV in the rooms and no children under12. But that is exactly what we were looking for. Rooms are comfy, clean and lovely and cool. Breakfast is beautiful with freshly baked bread and home made jams. Service...

Just had one night here en route to Prince Albert. Lovely and unusual rooms and very friendly owner. Breakfast was excellent. If we are back in this area next year will definitely spend a night or two.

This is an absolutely divine spot just five minutes from Oudtshoorn. We had the Hendrik 'z'n huisje room which had a double bedroom/living room space with a fireplace and two sofas. A nice sized bathroom with a wonderful shower. The attention to detail, from a little flower posey in the room to the cold spring water in the mini fridge...

Booked 3 nights on our way back from Cape family to Jozi's. We were the only guests so it was relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed the home made bread and breakfast was of top class. Learned so much history and enjoyed a day outing to the hel, and a great sand road towards the waterfall and De Rust, sure worth...

We booked the two rooms at Mieta se Huisie. Both were very clean, comfortable, and the old-world decor is so charming. Peach-floor in the one room is quite a massage / punishment on the bare feet - but oh so beautiful! Marojean is a star - so friendly and helpful, and her attention to our needs were much appreciated. Breakfast...

“There were three little houses to choose from. Ours had an ensuite with a wooden loo and a saloon type door, so not much privacy, which didn't worry us, but might worry some people. The bedroom was sooo cosy and so was the one that our friends stayed in - next door.”
