Breakfast, lunch, diner and the view are very very good / nice ! BUT if you want to sleep here, the price is really too expensive (500€) because no facilities : - swimming pool too small for all the rooms (just 20 chairs) - no help to find a taxi - room too simple... no decoration, no minibar, nothing (it's...

Dear constance d, Thank-you for the review and kind remarks, we're glad to hear that you so much enjoyed the views and food at Asara, but are sorry that you thought we were expensive. We are in fact extremely competitive price-wise, and suspect, based on your comments, that your impression is partly due to poor communication, which we very much...

We stayed at Asara & dined on the Saturday night. After a less then impressive meal at Waterkloof we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food & excellent service. My fillet was cooked to perfection. Not trying to overly complicate food with too many competing flavours allowed the main ingredients to be savoured & enjoyed. Lovely evening &...

Dear MJ A, Thank-you for the review of your experience at mise en place and for the kind recommendation. We're delighted to hear that you so much enjoyed the meal and evening, but there's been so much enthusiasm for mise en place that we're not sure why you say that it's underrated. Unless you mean that it deserves even more...

I was very lucky to stay at Asara on a business trip. What a wonderful hotel. The setting is magnificent, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious food, accompanied by wonderful Asara wine. The service was superb and the staff very attentive. Lots of tourists, as well as business people. Highly recommended.

We visited Asara for dinner at the more casual bar and restaurant. The view is amazing. One of the best we saw in Stellenbosh. The food was very good. Highly recommend the burger and pizzas. The gin tasting was also different and fun.

Beautiful restaurant with fabulous views. One of the best meals of my life, service excellent and faultless food. As good or better than any Michelin starred restaurant we have visited. A "must visit" venue in the winelands.

I've reviewed Asara before but could not resist reviewing again after a fine lunch on Saturday. Such a beautiful farm in a beautiful location with fine wine and fine dining. I am sure there are other fantastic locations for a Friday lunch in the area but Asara is such a pleasure that I find it difficult to try other locations....

Stopped off here for a drink and a snack on a visit to the winelands on the recommendation of a colleague. I am so pleased i did. Dear martinw-sydney, Thank-you for the review and kind recommendation, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the views and the gins at Asara - it's a great combination! Stayed at Asara for two nights in February 2017 and was terribly disappointed by the service. While the venue and the views were gorgeous, the hotel being an expensive 5 star hotel, failed on every level when it came to service. Reception staff were rude and arrogant. Room keeping was slack, often coming to just make the bed and leaving...

Dear Sherif K, We thank-you for the visit, but do - with respect -strongly disagree with your comments. The receptionist you mention was not rude to you, and has never been rude to any guest ever.
