We've just spend a truly lovely week end at Spier. It was my husband and my 27th anniversary and we were made to feel extremely special. The service, food and accommodation was all outstanding. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Ideal stopover before flight the next day. Excellent staff and glass of wine whilst room was being prepared.. Room was huge and had everything you could require. After a quick bath we had our evening meal on the covered veranda. The wine was fabulous and the steak was perfect. Dessert was excellent and we also had a bottle of 'dancing...

This wine estate has a lot of history and immaculate gardens. Rooms were a good size with a patio seating area. Hotel is often used as a conference facility. Quite a 'steady' hotel frequented by an older clientele - the disco was playing 'Let's Twist Again' and 'Agadoo'. Evening Bar area is brightly lit. Really enjoyed the wine tasting and...

I've been to Spier many times for day trips but in January I had to the opportunity to stay for a few nights midweek. Spier have put together a package that includes great accommodation, super friendly service, good food and a range of things to do on the farm. All of this at a reasonable price, particularly if you get...

From the outset, this hotel has all the makings of 4 star quality. The grounds of Spier are kept in immaculate condition and there are plenty of first class activities and points of interest on the estate to keep you occupied. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome in reception and offered a glass of one of Spier's Merlots, and...

Staying at this hotel in a signature room was an amazing experience. My wife and I had a ground floor room with a balcony and a semi-private pool. The room had all the facilities and boasted a bigger than King size bed. The hotel forms part of a wine farm and a general working farm. The area surrounding the hotel...

We wanted to tour the Garden Route, but at a leisurely pace, stopping at places on the way. This was a two week trip starting at Cape Town and ending at Port Elizabeth, only where to stay and what to see was the daunting task. As before we had called on Trailfinders to come up with the goods, since there...

The accommodation and food were good, the laundry less so...however, the staff are what sets this place apart. Just helpful and friendly all day long, nothing is too much trouble. I stayed here for business during the week and then hosted my parents on the weekend; it was my mum's birthday, when the staff learned of this they made such...

We have stayed at Spier many times as our last night before heading home. We were so disappointed at how it had changed. There were so many large parties in the restaurant that it took so long to be served (an hour) NOT the fault of the staff. Didn't seem to be anyone in charge? Our room had cigarette stubs...
