Our hostess, Emma, was brilliant. Warm and welcoming. The location affords views which are quite exceptional. The proximity of the Park affords the opportunity of stunning walks in beautiful surrounds, and the proximity of Stellenbosch town ensures that there is no lack of action. Highly

This is stunning place were to be in peace and harmony, because all the surrounding and nature allows it! I generally love Africa and it's wild nature, but this is place were I feel like home. The best thing, wich I love, is hikes in mornings, swim in pool with the wiev, breakfast on terrace and then exploring ocean cost,...

We relaxed from the moment we got there. Emma was warm and welcoming (as were her lovely dogs). The room was extremely spacious with lots of charm. Having our delicious out on the patio with the views of the mountains and the horses was a wonderful experience. Was very good for wheelchair accessibility.

I loved my recent stay at Glenconner. The Jonkershoek Valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth and just outside the door - you can enjoy your sundowner on the stoep each evening enjoying the view, sunset and amazing display of stars! My room was very comfortable and well appointed. Emma, the charming owner, made me feel very...

Heaven on earth! We stayed in the self-catering cottage next to the main house (sleeps 4) which was clean, spacious and very comfortable. It had a large braai area and lovely private patio with stunning views of the farm and mountains. Dogs are welcome, and the kids spent hours playing in the stream, which also has a lovely shaded picnic...

Glenconner is a beautiful spot as other reviewers mentioned tucked away in the Jonkershoek valley. Emma is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Property has views of the paddocks and mountains and she has 2 lovely dogs who are very sweet. We stayed in the cottage closest to the main house (with the spectacular 300 year old oak tree)....

Glenconner Cottages is one of our favourite places to stay when we go to Cape Town. Altho it is actually situated in the Jonkershoek Valley outside Stellenbosch, it is withing an easy 30-minute drive of central Cape Town. We have always managed to stay in the main gabled farmhouse, in a comfortable, light room overlooking a round, farm-style swimming pool...

Following the excellent review in the Greenwood Guide for Handpicked Accommodation we booked one night in this B&B near Stellenbosch in May 2012. We have never had any disappointment with this guide book and were very surprised to find ourselves in a quite poorly, basically and unlovingly furnished cottage ("studio"). Admittedly the location is beautiful, in a valley in walking...
