Nice colonial style hotel - good breakfast and only 10 minutes walk to town. The Botanical Gardens are on the doorstep and definitely worth a visit. Found the staff at the hotel very welcoming and friendly.

Not really much to say about our stay. The room was comfortable enough. There is an antique feel to the hotel, with regards to the decor, and the "classic" toilets...that said the toilets were quite old and the water kept running which was noisy. The walls were very thin and every time the room next door flushed or took a...

Dear Josephine We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. I was surprised at your comment regarding the thin walls, as the house was built in 1904 and the walls are between 50 - 70cm thick. We followed up on your comment regarding the noise and this was caused by air trapped in the pipes, which...

A great stay here, rooms are massive and very traditional in style which is in keeping with the property as a whole. A great base for when you are in the Winelands. It is an old residence that has been converted to a charming guest house so each room is different and there are a few creaks but that is...

Evergreen manor is a family oriented hotel, perfectly located close to the town centre. Lovely staff, great breakfast and clean rooms. Fast WIFI! Safe area, 10 min to the city centre. Must see the botanic gardens, the church and the art craft shops. Excellent food everywhere.

A welcoming entrance gave my family the best way to be welcomed to South Africa. We got beautiful rooms with some great beds, chairs and a good-working TV. A well-placed hotel near to everything that has to be seen.

Stayed for a week on a business trip. Staff are lovely; room was comfortable. Breakfast was big and plentiful. About a 10 minute stroll into the township proper. Had a ground floor room out the back of the property, but the downside was that all the room curtains/ blinds had to be perpetually closed so that people could not see...

Nothing special. Not a luxurious staym Not much in the way of amenities. Average breakfast. Decent stay if you want to stay close to University of Stellenbosch. Other than that, there are nice restaurants around the area.

Dear Harounh477 We understand that there was unhappiness because the reservation was for 1 person and your visitor could not stay free. I am happy to hear that you appreciated how close Evergreen is to the University and also to the many excellent restaurants, museums and galleries in the central business area.

A colonial style Hotel, very special interior design with the bathtub in the bedroom! We did not mind! The personnel made all their efforts to give us good service. Very calm sorroundings and fenced in car parning.

Lovely classic rooms, though not what I expected after what I saw on website. Your house is beautiful and location excellent. The gentleman who received me did his best to see to my needs.
