Place In 70 km from the airport, the capital city of Denpasar Bali island, on the picturesque bay of the Indian Ocean, far away from tourist bustle and noisy nightlife, there is a small town, the resort town - Candidasa. Translated as Ten Temples. In fact, the name Candidasa distorted from Cilidаsа- ten children, that it is logical because the main temple of the city devoted to Harita -goddess of soil fertility. This temple was building in the beginning of eleven century and very dearly cherished not only Balinese people, but also the residents from neighboring islands. Here come to pray all those who want to have children. The resort is located not far from of main highway between the northern and the southern Bali and this allows you easily to get any interested you place on the island. Chandidasa is a small town and just 15 years ago was a fishing village, but today local restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and SPA salons are able to satisfy the most outstanding tourists. The greatest hotel in CantiDasa and CantiDasa itself ❤️ The owners know what is hotel business and hospitality itself, everything is made with love to people and nature. The spacy rooms, the huge bathroom with bathtub outside, the pool with warm(🔥) water, beautiful garden and the restaurant with tasty homemade food. Service is on the level! CantiDasa is so beautiful and the beach is so close to the hotel. Also they organised the trip by the boat where I caught 10 kgs Mahi-Mahi and even treated me with it for dinner. Highly recommended.

I spent 2 nights there with friends. We just wanted a couple of quiet days before heading back to the hustle and bustle of Kuta. The rooms are a decent size and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed having the pool right there and made good use of it.The "open air" bathroom was different. I appreciated the outside sitting area, fridge and hot and cold drinking water. Staff were very helpful and organised a driver for us at very short notice when something went wrong with our arrangements. Supermarket, beach, eateries and temple are all within walking distance.
Whilst you don't have ocean views you have views of the garden.
Breakfast was good with the usual fare of eggs, porridge, etc.

We spend a wonderful time in Arco Iris Resort in Candidasa, Bali!
The resort is new, and give you everything that you expect from quiet Bali villa holiday!
The rooms have many facilities, and open air bathroom, safe, fridge, fresh wather and aircon.
Cusine in the hotel's restauraunt is good enuf! Menu is not very big, not very small, but you could get everything you need! The staff is attentive and very friendly.
Admire the starry sky from the Jacuzzi were our favourite thing in the night! (:

If you're in Candidasa, visit Arco Iris Resort!

Arco Iris is located in a very calm place Candidasa nearby ocean.
We’re stayed in the hotel 10 excellent days in September. It was very relaxed atmosphere. Every morning we were awakened by singing roosters and in the evenings our ears were delighted by geckos.
Of course, the hotel has big well-furnished bungalows, a good clean deep pool, fast Wi-Fi, good cuisine and normal prices for drinks in the restaurant, clean rooms, soft pillows, etc.
However, brilliant feature of the hotel is man with name Zhenya and his staff. Zhenya is owner of the hotel and he made our days. Zhenya originally from Moscow but many years he lives in Bali and knows Balinese language and culture in some cases even better than locals know. Zhenya very gladly shares all information he has and he can manage your local trips and adventures.
From our point, you must visit waterfalls Gili. Views are fantastic and if you brave enough you will be able to jump from 10 and 18 meters cliffs.
Also Zhenya can organize night tracking on volcanos. There are two volcanos on the island Batur and Agung. We postponed the climbing on a next time.
Regarding water pleasures.
Hotel’s watchman with name Bayan at the same time is a fishmen with his own boat. So if you OK to wake up in 4 am, than you will be able to enjoy a popping or trolling. By the way, our breakfasts “to go” were ready exactly in time, 4:30 am (thanks to the kitchen staff). My wife were so encouraged that we fished two times. After fishing, this is reasonable to visit on the same boat a “white sand beach”. There are a lot of “varungs” (local cafes) where your fish will be roasted or grilled by your taste for a normal price. On the top, you’ll be able to use all day sunbeds and sunshades for free.
And of course I can’t pass over in silence a diving. First reason because it was our first dive. Second is a world famous “Liberty” is very close to the hotel. Third and main reason is a perfect company that taught and assisted us. Zhenya and his friend, dive master Patricia, organized for us an unforgettable dive. A couple words about Patricia. Originally she is from Spain, lives in Bali and Philippines many years. By our own experience, we can confirm that she is very and very professional. Patricia works in «Southern Dreams Diving Club».
So, if you need to spend a vacation with your spouse or with your friends in atmosphere of calmness and with interesting adventures Arco Iris is a right place.

We stayed in a Vila next to this resort and used their Restaurant. We often had breakfast delivered from here to our Vila. We also chose to eat here of an evening. The menu is interesting and full of variety. I loved ordering their fresh juice and the black rice pudding. The staff are friendly and try hard. The food is good and the cheapest in the area that we found. It's a quiet spot away from the main road which I feel is always a bonus when eating and chatting.

We spent 6 days ar Arco Iris and enjoyed every minute. Just off the main road down a side road to the quiet of Arco Iris. It is not on the beach front but has a lovely garden and pool. The beach front when we visited was very onshore so was too breezy anyway. Lovely big room with second sitting room which was set up for our 10 year old son. Gorgeous open air bathroom with enormous bath. Good breakfast included and free water via a water cooler/heater in our room. Very clean and well kept grounds and rooms. Helpful staff. Negotiate price if you feel, everything is negotiable in Bali, especially if you are staying longer. Lots of restaurants nearby to walk too if you wish. The restaurant at Arco iris is fine but we like to share the money around and eat at different places. Small shop out the front on other side of the road offer great transport or tour options, bikes for hire or whatever you need. A local fisherman called DONO mobile 087 863 146 281 or 085 238683063 with a boat called two brothers, easily found on the beach front towards candidasa has excellent local knowledge and took us snorkelling. He is very safety conscious and I felt very secure taking my 10 year old snorkelling with Dono in charge. He cound turn a boat on a coin and just has amazing sea knowledge. Great stay at Candidasa would definately recommend Arco Iris

We stayed at this hotel for about a week in August of 2014. The grounds are nicely (if somewhat generically/sparsely) manicured. Rooms and grounds are very neat and orderly but not particularly interesting or inviting. The rooms could do with some "charm" and also lack in storage space. The decor is a bit modern and not very romantic. Bathroom outdoors is nearly as big as the room itself!!! Gorgeous bathrooms with tubs you can practically swim in! The porches include a water cooler and mini fridge. This is great for letting you refill your water bottles instead of constantly buying new ones. The staff is very young (uncomfortably young in some cases... Are there child labor laws in Indonesia?) and most of them do not speak fluent English. Be prepared for this. The location is nice, within walking distance to lots of stuff. But no view of the ocean if you care about such things. Pool is clean and pleasant.

Overall, the hotel simply lacks ambiance but is a fair deal for the money.

We stayed here March 2014 for 2 nights to attend a friends wedding after driving from Legian was very surprised just how nice this place is. The grounds and the pool are very nice. The interior of the rooms are basic but confortable really you don't need anymore.

I don't know how old the resort is but it's very modern clean and fresh it's unfortunate that it's not on the beach.

It's a short 10 min walk to the beach if you call it that were you can swim and snorkel. Snorkeling just 30m of shore and you will find some hard coral beds with some varying fish life. Would like to try a dive over at the small islands but that will have to be the next trip.

If you like a drink the Alcohol choices are limited Bintang, Scotch,Vodka so if like something specific i.e Jack Daniels you do need to bring your own

Our only complaint and it this affects all of the resorts in the area are the roosters and chickens, when trying too sleep all you can hear is the crowing if you can get past that or even block them out then you will like this place

We were looking for a beach resort in Candidasa that was quiet and good value for money - a friend recommended checking this place out and we were not disappointed. Arco Iris is a new resort (6 months) in Candidasa. It is not on the beach, but opposite the resorts that have beach access. The rooms are clean and bright, with an outdoor shower and toilet that so far are withstanding any ill effects from the weather. We opted for the small twin room - air conditioning but no TV (which was fine for us). We had breakfast on our balcony each morning, including fresh juice / espresso coffee / fresh fruit platter as well as main food order. The staff were able to arrange for a massage for us, in the shade of the balcony. The pool was lovely, although no shade yet during the day (trees planted but still growing). We had a great night swim and jacuzzi.

The only difficult thing with our stay was securing the booking in the first place - the only phone number I was able to find was after I made the booking on the internet, and it did not work. We had made a booking and then wanted to change dates. I managed to get the phone number through a friend, so if you are trying to get in touch with the hotel, try this number: +62 363 42057.

The staff were all very helpful, and happy to arrange transport, day trips, massage etc.

I didnt book any accommodations when i arrived in candidasa, and i checked many rooms around here, and my choice is this colourful place. I really hope to extend more days if i dont have flight ticket
Nice quite chill but funky place. Room and bathroom was spacious and clean well maintained. There are fancy swimming pool and yoga shala so it was perfect place for retreat.
Jenya is always so helpful, whenever i asked something i got an answer in 5 mins. I hope to come back this place soon thank you jenya :)
