This is the 5th time we visited and it never fails to be an absolutely fantastic. The pansiyon rooms are quaint and beautifully clean and the owners, Yasin and Hatice go out of their way to welcome you. From the moment you're picked up from the quay in Ucagiz till the moment you're brought back it's a magical time.

This is one of those special places you'll always remember in your travels, no other way to describe it. A rustic, lovely family owned pension with two wonderful hosts, Yasin and Hatice, who are welcoming and memorable, in a seaside village where just 150 people live, amidst ruins of a sunken city that is more than 2,000 years old. And luckily, this village has been spared from the kind of rampant development and disco/nightlife/shopping mall craziness of other towns along this coast. It is like going back to the past; this is not the place if you're looking for crazy party towns. It's a refuge, peaceful, wonderful.
The rooms are spotless, the views unforgettable, the setting of Kalekoy Kekova is something out of this world -- a view of the sea, the dramatic landscape, the boats, the scenes of daily life.... a place to get away from the world and just live. Great accommodation, we were so lucky to have found it.

returned to kalekoy kekova for a second visit as i loved this beautiful village right on the sea. its my favourite spot on the mediteranean. simena pension is gorgeous, beautifully decorated rooms (the best i stayed in in turkey) opening onto a large verandah with day beds for relaxing & overlooking the sea and kekova, the sunken city.
yasin and his wife hatice who run the pension are lovely, they made me feel very welcome & hatice was always checking in with me to make sure i felt comfortable and offered her kitchen for me to prepare my own meals. i was in turkey for 2 months, this was my favourite place. beautiful spots for swimming, kayaking and exploring the tombs on the waterfront. i jumped on one of the boats from kas , twas a 2 hour journey , as it stopped on the way for swimming in hidden coves & bays & dropped me off at kalekoy. another option is from the village of ulcaz which is a 5 minute boat ride, though has is easier to get to if ur on public transport. i definitely recommend this place, a true gem in turkey.

To get to Simena Panysion, you will have yo be picked up from Ucagiz village by boat. It was a short ride but certainly a memorable start to a pleasant stay. The hotel staff were warm, friendly and welcoming, always ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Although not located by the water, there’s always a sun bed for you at Kale Panysion, same owners. I had my meals at Kale Panysion and it was lovely home cooked Turkish food. In the evenings, I could sit peacefully on my balcony with lovely views of the sea. I had a lovely stay.

We had a great time at Simena pansiyon ! They are together with Kale pansiyon so you can eat and hang out by the seashore at Kale. We loved our room overlooking the bay. It was like a dream. A hidden gem. It was surrounded by pomegranate, avocado, lemon trees. There are cats everywhere and it was a pleasure to share time with them :) We had an amazing Turkish breakfast of course :) make sure to see the island in front by canoe in the early morning before the touristic boats arrive. The view and sunset from the castle is breathtaking. We had the best homemade ice cream and special village coffee at Cafe Mola and loved exchanging point of views with the owner, she learNed to speak French throughout the years with the tourists :)

We took a boat trip from Ucagiz to Kekova two years ago and promised ourselves we would return and stay a couple of days. In the event we stayed for a week enjoying the most peaceful week ever. Yasin and Hatice were outstanding hosts and the accommodation was simple, comfortable and great value. We had read that the restaurants were a little expensive but they seemed to be very reasonable with good choices, tasty fresh food and very adequate wine. The views from Simena Pansion were lovely and the early morning canoe trips, walks around the castle and over the hill to Ucagiz all enjoyable. Recommended without hesitation! The transfers to and from Antalya were also efficient and comfortable. Just go there and try it, you'll love it

Made to feel very welcome by our hosts who speak English. Room was very clean and well appointed. Balcony with comfortable seating overlooking the sea. Delicious breakfast. Access to kayaks(free) to go exploring the beautiful coastline.
This was my third visit to this beautiful village. No cars, peace & quiet, friendly people, history & stunning scenery. Will definitely be back to stay at Simena Pansiyon.

I had been to Kekova once before - determined to stay. Charming hostess and family born and bred on Kekova. Private clean and well appointed rooms with excellent ensuite. Breakfast was delicious and you could not have wished for a better view.
Kekova is exceptional - the ruins and castle sarcophagus scattered about on the hillside and wonderful walks to be had to neighbouring bays.
Charming dining on the waterfront is rustic but authentic and fresh so what more could you want!
(tourists visit during the day but you have the mornings and evenings to yourself with the dining facilities to yourseves)

Like described before: this is a rustical, individual place which still breathes some authenticity without being this clean neon-light place furnished with whatever.... and this was exactly what we were looking for. Yasin and his wife are very attentive, welcoming and open-minded. We were there for 4 nights, and would have liked to stay longer. When it is rainy, or you don't like to swim or to use the kanu, you just lay on the sofa on the balcony and are looking at the busy harbour or try to find one of the immense sea turtles which emerges every 20 min (my kind of sport for quite some hours). Also recommendable is to eat in Kale restaurant which is as well run by Yasin and his family. They vary the mezzes and dishes for you, and serve fresh and good food. Altogether stay and eat might be a bit more expensive compared to local standards but you also get more and it is certainly worth it.

HI, Simena Pension is a small pension, not a hotel as such. The owners (Yasin & Hatice) both speak English and are very welcoming and we enjoyed staying there. You need to know that there are no cars in the village & to get there you contact the owners who come over in their runabout to pick you up. 1. You can sunbathe & swim from the area in front of another property (Kale Pension) owned by the extended family. There are also kayaks available for the use of guests at no charge. There isn't a sandy beach. 2. We drove to Ucagiz Village and were picked up to go across to Kale by boat. I believe there would be a shuttle from Antalya airport but i don't think the price would be covered by the owners. 3. You'd need to check with the owners as it would depend on the season. We contacted them by email before we left and found they were quite responsive. The B&B cost includes a very generous Turkish breakfast. The couple don't usually provide dinner at Simena but there are other places around for dinner.
