3rd time to this hotel and already booked for May 2021, this hotel just gets better each time we go, we stay in a deluxe room which is quite big, double bed and modern furniture with plenty of storage space, huge walk in shower, the rooms are kept spotless by the maids, clean towels everyday and very regular bed changes, the rooms were sanitized every day due to covid 19. Hotel grounds beautiful with lovely flowers and fresh mint which they use in some drinks, pool area extremely clean and again sanitized daily, plenty of sun beds, excellent adjacent bar with the most amazing bar staff, CJ, Taylan & Sammy are the most caring, friendly helpful guys, absolutely nothing is too much trouble they really do make your holiday amazing!

Bekir in the restaurant is outstanding he speaks excellent English and goes way above what is required of him to assist you, it was his half day off in the morning when we were leaving but he came into work just to serve us our breakfast, I enquired about how to make the restaurant’s special garlic prawns, he explained to me and then went out and bought me the clay pots I would need to make them the same as the restaurant, he refused to accept the money for them. Highly recommend the restaurant, amazing food and service.

The owner Mehmet is a truly lovely man, his Daughter Begum and his son in law Taylan treat you like your family, Mehmet always greets you with a smile and makes you feel very welcome in his hotel, even comes out to wave you off when you leave.

I could not even imagine going into another hotel, for us this is a 5 star hotel, highly recommend

Forgot to say the hotel is located close to the strip but you do not hear any noise also about 3 minute walk to the beach.

Thankyou to all the amazing staff at the Blue star for making our holiday so brilliant

Have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and this by far is the best. A small beautiful family run hotel with everything you could possibly ask for. When I booked I went for the deluxe room as it included fridge, air conditioning and safe. Newly refurbished it did not disappoint it was a fine size with a fantastic balcony looking over the pool. The bathroom has raindrop shower plus power shower and fresh towels every day. The cleaning lady a lovely pleasant girl came every day leaving 2 bottles of complimentary water (a lovely little touch I have to add for staying at the hotel) We stayed for 10 days and our room was kept immaculate clean so please leave the cleaner's a well deserved tip should you decide to stay. We stayed in room 306 a nice quiet room at night you could hear music in the bathroom from the bar behind but not loud enough to bother us and it stops at 1pm anyway the beds are so comfortable we were well asleep before this🤣. The pool and restaurant are also spotless clean nice soft music playing and so relaxing. The reception and restaurant is very well run by fantastic staff excellent at theirjob they are so friendly, pleasant and funny special shout out for Dasha and Sucira and the breakfast staff. The breakfast was yummy plenty of choices from fruit, breads, cheeses, salads and omelettes etc.The bar is fantastic cool and chilled day and night and the drinks are very reasonable priced.I have to recommend you eat an evening meal in the hotel we ate here around 6 times during or stay the service, food and prices are amazing. Would I stay again? In a heartbeat thank you all at HOTEL BLUE STAR for such an amazing holiday ❤ I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

After eating in the hotel restaurant a week prior, we decide to stay at the blue star for a 11night stay and could not have been happier with my stay.

Upon arrival, my room was upgraded. The hotel seems to have undergone in very recent times, an extensive refurb which has been meticulously executed.

The staff, from the cleaners, to the bar/restaurant staff to the garners were/are absolutely fantastic.

Not a single person I spoke with had anything negative to say about their Blue Star experience.

Do not hesitate in booking this hotel, it will not disappoint.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Rude staff. Terrible breakfast. (consisted of 2 dry slices of cucumbers, one small slice of salami, one slice of cheese and dreadful, packaged honey and butter with 4 tiny pieces off bread) never seen a Turkish style breakfast this bad before! They charge you waaaay more than what they give back. The room is good for two people if you are a midget or fan off tight little places! It's tiny. Not even a kettle to make our own tea or coffee. When asked they said that it was only possible with more luxury rooms they had.... Can you imagine? Even the worst motel (mind you this is a "2 star hotel") would always have a kettle in their room... We wanted it to get our own breakfast and have some tea or coffee in our room with it. Like I said it was a terrible, untasty breakfast. In the bathroom the wallsocket is sticking out the wall and is loose it looks very dangerous. The so called fridge was loose in a big closet so it moves every time you try to open or close it, while it's working like a turtle stampeding through peanut butter. Hardly could create some cold water. The airco is an antique hanging on to his last breath of life, it's shaking making weird noises but it manages to create a little bit of cold air. Even though they claimed that they had a free parking lot, they didn't. We had to pay 20 tl for every day we stayed there. The location is good. Very close to the beach. But of course you have to pay for it too. (beds) If you don't want to burn your butt sitting on the hot little pebbles on the beach. They charge 45 tl for those.
Overall you can't call this a hotel, a pension is more like it. Let's not talk about the noise at night from the bars and stuff, bring your earplugs with you if you like to sleep a bit.

Check in was very easy and quick, staff are very friendly and they are always in the reception area ready to help.

We stayed at the Blue Star Hotel for three nights. We had two rooms (one for the parents and one for the kids). Both were deluxe rooms with jacuzzi tubs. Although we didn't get a chance to use the tubs (so much to do in Oludeniz) it was nice to have the option to do so. The hotel was in a great area - only a couple blocks from the beach and downtown Oludeniz- so walking distance to everything we needed. There was a quaint bazaar right behind the hotel too. The staff at the hotel (especially Yigit and Asli) were fantastic. They helped with luggage to our rooms (up 3 flights of stairs, restaurant recommendations, organizing private transfers back to the airport and so much more. The rooms were clean, spacious compared to other turkish hotels, and had great air conditioning (which came in handy as it was very hot outside during our stay). They even have a great restaurant. Breakfast (buffet) was great each morning, but we even had there twice in our 3 days. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Had to ask to change the room because of the sewage smell in the bathroom. They initially told me there is no other room they can send me to. Then five min later, I was given another room. The second room did not have the sewage smell problem but the shower head did not work well;( but was clean.

The balconies are nice and so are the furnishing.
Bedding and room were clean and modern; generally well maintained and new.

Breakfast is OK but no fruits.

Staff were helpful in giving advice and booking trips. Their partner agencies are not necessarily the cheapest in the market (and they tell you up front and are transparent about it at least).

I had an issue w withdrawing cash and asked if I could pay w a credit card and if they could return the cash ( I had paid for the room earlier). I do not know if there are credit card fees that they do not want to pay but the owner flat out said no and did not even bother to explain or give excuses. I was flexible earlier and tried to accommodate their preference for cash. Obviously, once the cash is in the owner's pocket, it becomes a different story. Disappointing. Lesson learnt: do not try to be flexible w the owners because they may not reciprocate.

Left a bad taste about the business management sense, and would not return due to the owner's attitude despite a wonderful location and nice facility and staff.

They really need to fix the sewage smell as it seems to be a recurrent issue based on other reviews.

Have just returned from a 5 night stay at this lovely family run hotel.
Stayed in a double room and the rooms are basic but have everything you need for a break away. Fridge, hair dryer, toiletries, comfy pillows and balcony with pool view.
Breakfast is typical Turkish continental breakfast but is nice. Bread tastes freshly made with a good selection of jams and warm egg, cheese and salad items as well as potatoes and cheese rolls. Pineapple juice is nice but orange juice not that nice.
Pool is a really good size and clean. Inflatables are also allowed to be used :)
Had lunch in hotel restaurant a couple of days and the food is really good. Good quality and good portions and also reasonably priced.
Hotel is very clean and the staff all very friendly and helpful.
Late check out is available for a fee.
Hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the beach and the main strip.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely be back.

Another excellent stay which was very relaxing an good to be back after the pandemic. Would recommend this hotel to anyone it is spotlessly clean the refurbished rooms are really nice. Memhet the owner and his family always greet you with a smile and will sort anything out for you without a problem. The Restaurant and Bar have always been owned by the Memhet the owner but he leases the Restaurant out and used to keep the Bar side for himself but this year has leased both out to Osman and his wife Serpil who used to run Celebrity Restaurant and run the 2 very well and always have a friendly welcome for you.

Stayed for 4 nights, the hotel is clean from the outside, but the towels are old not so clean, i found an old soap bar from previous guests probably, i’ve put do not disturb and house keeping still walk me up in the morning by just walking in the room ! The balcony door does not close well and i told them, someone came slammed it and was like “it is ok now” and neither we couldn't sleep nor my children from the loud music from the next door night club ! Until 12 midnight at some nights and 1 am on others. Oh and one more thing, i left the room and put on do not disturb, usually all my life in traveling, no one approaches the door, in this case i came and found my room opened, fixed, and someone left the balcony door open oh and held the door by a small table in the balcony so it doesn't close ! And after all that ! I asked for an extra room card (key) i was told that they cannot give me ?!? We are a family of 4 ppl, using one key, we all had to walk in together and leave together ! I honestly did not like the hotel’s attitude, on the other hand location was fine, pool was ok, and breakfast u only had 8 am - 9:45 am then everything was gone ! Parking i think is a disaster in the area but i was lucky ! And AC was good ! . And the fridge was making a weird sound , The only thing i liked about it, is that it had netflix and youtube on its smart tv for the kids!

Hi julie54, essentially size and basic rooms tend to be ground/basement floor which in turkey is normal. Dont be put off by the word basement, essentially you are just below ground level with a balcony. Either way great hotel, all rooms near pool or overlooking them.
