My love to Buenos Aires started with people working in the hostel Estoril. Every day they meet you with a smile and are ready to help even though they know you for few hours. I will never forget their smiling faces. Thank you guys! Concerning the hostel, the location is totally perfect, the conditions are good and absolutely comfortable. The...

First of all, you have to realize that there are three hostels with almost the same name in the same building. They all belong to the same family, but are different properties. Keep this in mind when booking, to avoid confusions. The hostel on the 3rd floor is the cheapest one, but it is not the one all the reviews...

First of all, the location is fantastic - it's convenient enough to visit many interesting downtown spots on foot, and yet it's right in front of a Subte stop, so if you're arriving/leaving with luggage, or are just too tired after a long day of sightseeing, you can easily catch a subway train. The staff is really friendly and helpful....

This is a nice hostel in a very good location right near the subway and on the main street between the congress and the pink house. I enjoyed my time but the room I stayed in is in serious need of some curtians and a fan. It was hard to sleep with all the light streaming in from the street.

We had a great time at Hostel Estoril. The staff could not have been more helpful, the common areas were really nice and chilled, including the roof top bar. The hostel is located in the perfect place for accessing all the important parts of the city and the breakfast was one of the best we've had during our travels!

After a time staying in the countryside, I ventured into the big city and stayed at Hostel Estoril. The hostel is very, very well located on Avenida de Mayo, down the Capitol building end. At the other end of the avenue, is the Presidential ("Pink") Palace made famous by Eva Peron and her heartfelt political speeches. We even witnessed the...

Great hostel in a perfect location right next to a metro station and located on one of Buenos Aires' most beautiful streets. The staff were very friendly and organised a great curry night while we were there. Breakfast was great with eggs made the way you like. The bathrooms were decent but could use a deep clean

Good and recommendable hostel. Very central location, close to all major districts. Dorms were okay, even with air conditioning. The common room was simple but cozy. Shower with hot running water well. There are lockers for private matters. The breakfast is superb. On request, you can get fried eggs or scrambled eggs. The terrace on the 6th floor is very...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
