Nice location with very clean rooms, most the places that we wanted to visit. 10-20min walking distance, for longer trips we used Uber . But best part during our visit was the front desk staff, Zaria and Nestor was exceptionally nice and super professional. Zaire made sure that we have best possible experience during our visit in hotel and even giving us tips where to go and what to visit . Overall A++ Thank you .
Do yourself a favor...fund a decent hotel...this AIN’T it!!! The pictures are VERY deceiving. It’s truly a budget hotel! We only needed a place for the day and spent about 2 hours total in the room which was 1.5 hours too many for me! I would have NEVER slept there... now I see why they offered breakfast for two in their $71.00 rate!!! Truly you get what you pay for. The lobby is small and more like a motel. The pictures on-line are of a sitting area behind the lobby and those must be photo shopped. They didn’t have our reservation in the system (sign. #1), the elevator wasn’t even with the platform so the bellboy couldn’t bring out luggage on our elevator...had to wait for one that was even. Once at the room, we couldn’t open the door even with a key. The room was decent...again budget, but the bed hard (only sat on it), the bathroom was a farce. Then on the water in the sink and you get a shower...water everywhere!!! The tub was scratched, the knob came off when I turned on the shower. There was no curtain only a small glass and water leaked out of the shower on the floor. So...the bathroom floor was more like an ice rink that we had to mop up to keep from slipping. The towels were so darn hard!!! Almost like fine sandpaper!!! The neighboring was less than charming, complete with a derelict sleeping across the street.. NOTHING like the web-description. On a positive, the staff were nice/helpful, the restaurant looked decent (didn’t eat there) and the room relatively clean...that’s about the only positive things I can say about this place.... NOPE, NOPE, NOPE 👎…
They don’t have any eggs out for their breakfast, I asked them to make some and they said only eggs with ham and cheese are included, if I wanted vegetables then I had to order them and pay separately, that’s insane and I have not seen that at any hotel I’ve stayed in around the world.
Living a lot in hotels all over the world, I can say clearly that it is the worse hotel I ever stayed. Where should I start from? I asked in the reservation for a quiet room, and they give me a room on the 3rd floor, facing 9 de Julio, without any noise protection (double windows exists, but not here). No willing to change my room. I asked them to verify another reservation in the same hotel next week, they were not able to. I ask for shaving kit - no see! I ask for a plug adaptor- never heard! The carpet in the room was dirty, zero amenities in the room, not even a bottom of water. Four stars hotel?! Bad joke!
Location was very good and staff very nice and helpful. The room was very big, nice and clean. Good breakfast with variety for everyone. The internet in the rooms was very good. Hotel offered transfer for the airport at a reasonable price.
I stayed for 8 days at Howard Johnson Plaza, Argentina in November 2018. It was really good. Having travelled from Sri Lanka, they helped me a lot. It was great hospitality. Food was tasty. Fantastic location. Easy access to many places. Recommend this hotel. Dr.Harsha Bandara
We arrived late at night and it turned out that we were dropped at the wrong hotel. There are two Howard Johnson Hotels just a few blocks apart and taxi drivers sometime get confused. However, the staff was very helpful and walked us to the right hotel, carrying our luggage all the way. The room was good, the reception professional. We recommend the Howard Johnson brand.
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a business trip. The hotel has a very central location - in my case fairly close to Puerto Madero, which was attractive for me. This does however also mean the traffic is quite heavy in this area, and considering the size of Buenos Aires, you should calculate 30-45 minutes to whereever you need to go. The hotel itself appears modern and the service was fine, while i found the rooms a bit basic.
Our stay of two nights at the Howard Johnson Hotel was very enjoyable, close to a lot of good restaurants easy access to the hop on hop off bus which took us to all the major attractions as we only had 1 full day, La Boca a great place to stroll around for a couple of hours then back on the bus to La Recoleta to visit Eva Peron (Evita) and lunch at a famous restaurant.
