A Boutique Hotel whaaaaat ??? The rooms are small. Double beds made from two mattresses with an uncomfortable space in the middle. Most of all the bed is short. I am 1.86 ( not a giant ) and my feet hanging out from the edge. You don't even have a chair or a bench to place your luggage. The breakfast was very simple. I was 5 minutes early. It starts at 8:00 am, but at 8:15 am it hasn't been set up properly yet. Please call it whatever..... but not a boutique hotel.
Very pleased with this hotel the location is great and only a couple of minutes walk to bars and restaurants. The staff were wonderful in particular Mora on the front desk on my arrival who went out of her way to ensure I was looked after. Thanks again Mora.
It's a decent little hotel. Friendly and helpful personnel. Bedrooms are nice. The shower is good. The best thing is the area and that you're walking distance from everything at Soho neighborhood. The best district for going out at night.
This hotel is a work in progress and the four dots are mostly for the great location and incredibly helpful desk staff. Before I go into what they could do to make it better I'd like to commend Martine, Maura and Solidad for going above and beyond their required duties to help us in every way possible. They wrote us lists of restaurants, sent us to a tourist free local Milonga, that was a few blocks away and really fun, helped us with transport and whatever we needed without question. Breakfast was good and varied enough for us except scrambled eggs always cold because the sterno was never lit. Think they could do without them and with a 4 slice toaster Our room was nice enough, balcony pleasant, bed and bedding nice and comfy, but the renovation going on next door was at times really annoying. Nice bathroom, with spa tub but housekeeping had to be asked for 2 hand towels for two people. Sometimes we got them, sometimes we got 3 bath mats. They did do a good job cleaning and waiting for us to vacate to do it. but I hate to constantly ask for things. The closets, were in my opinion set up more for children or backpackers then two grownups booked for 2 weeks, with wire hangers, with hanger bar sticking out out,not across, so I had to look through every piece of clothing that was hung up to find anything instead of seeing them lined up in front of me The rest of the storage were cubby holes, not draws. I found the coffee table too big the small couch too uncomfortable to sit in, so both were just obstacles and someplace to put the big wooden tray of overpriced junk food for sale which seems to be a fixture in BA hotel rooms. The little pool, which was a factor in making our booking, for getting some relief from the weather, was out of commission until day four for some kind of maintenance, plus another day later in our stay, for no reason that I could work out and I was not a happy camper. It was very nice when it was available but there were no real lounge chairs and a gigantic palm that had to be circumvented to get to the entry stairs. Our TV was not set up to give maximum cable channels and even when I had maintenance up to check it out, it took us another couple of days for us to figure it out on our own, almost to the end of our stay to get the most English language programming available. The spa was fine with very reasonable treatments and a competent masseuse. Management comped my massage to make up for the inconvenient scraping next door, which was nice of them. There is no elevator but we were helped in and out with our luggage and no problem for us otherwise. We really loved the location, lively but unlike Palermo Hollywood, not too noisy or flashy , feeling more like old side streets in NYC's west village than very loud tourist trap, had a lot of transport close by, loved the great jazz music played in the hotels common areas, enjoyed the outside breakfast room, our balcony with table and chairs that made getting local takeout and eating in a few nights pleasant after long days out Assume, if you are not me, don't travel with your own clip hangers or often walk into things, the closet , wire hangers and excess furniture and plants would not be an issue. All my critiques involve things that are easily fixed and I'm hoping they will fix them. I am giving them 4 dots for a 3 dot hotel with 5 dot staff. …
This hotel is right in the middle of Palermo Buenos Aires, a vibrant, fun area of the city with great shops and dining. The hotel offers comfort and a great breakfast with many homestyle choices. The reception staff will help with any questions and print anything you might need.
