During a recent stay at the Algodon Mansion, we experienced a less than stellar stay and communicated this to management. While I was both angry and disappointed over the experience, I've been heartened by the response of management to our concerns and their efforts to make things right. Mr. Beck expressed genuine regret that things didn't meet our expectations, and...

We spent 4 wonderful days at this small(10) rooms hotel. Breakfast was included and service was wonderful. Highly recommended. A small spa is tucked away on the top floor. Only disappointment was the pool. Frigid temperature!!!

By far the number one hotel in Buenos Aires. This was the best service from a hotel we have ever experienced. Everyone from the front desk to the personal butler to the luggage staff to the managers were all extremely helpful and made our stay perfect. One of the front desk managers even helped me set up an Argentina SIM...

This hotel is even more beautiful and impressive in person than the photos on the website! I loved the high quality decor of my suite, automated drapes, massive closet space and a bathroom that was bigger than my first New York apartment. If you are accustomed to 5 Star luxury and fantastic service, you will want to experience this property.

If you fancy a hotel with just 10 rooms, outstanding service and an amazing location, then look no further. This is a very fine hotel located in the Recoleta with service that first rate. My wife and I spent three nights here and enjoyed almost all that this fine establishment had to offer. It was our first time in Buenos...

First off, there was the hugest live cockroach in our room and when we asked if we could have a discount, we were given late check out as compensation - live cockroaches, usually this huge, usually give you a free night last time i checked. The staff, at least in summer time when the hotel is very quiet, were quite...

Dear johncaro, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Algodon Mansion. It is much to our regret that you left our hotel unsatisfied. My wife and I stayed 4 nights and were upgraded to an imperial suite, which had a balcony on a quiet side of the hotel. The roof-top pool is very small, but it is a nice place to relax. We found everyone at the hotel to be extremely helpful in arranging tours and dinner reservations and suggesting museums and places...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
