We stayed two midweek nights at this hotel and found it very pleasant. The decor is stylish and inviting both in the lobby, main restaurant, and the room.
The location means you can walk to lots of sights (2 mins to Plaza San Martin, 25 mins to Recoleta cemetery). The downside is there are no views from the rooms as the hotel is located in the narrow streets of the city.
We had a nightcap in the ground floor bar and found it a very pleasant way to end the evening. Breakfast was quite average with a limited selection and the style of the breakfast room in the basement felt out of odds with the style of the rest of the hotel.
Staff we helpful - we got our room 20 minutes early which meant we didn’t have to wait and they provided an iron and ironing board very quickly when asked.
I’d happily consider staying here again.

Maybe I am being too hard on this hotel but it's not a 4-Star hotel by any means. The only pros I can give this hotel is the location and the style inside. Otherwise, I cannot recommend this at all.

First, the breakfast is a joke. Next, the service isn't there. Third, housekeeping is not always cleaning your room. Even after I took the "do not disturb" sign off and advised the front desk, the room was not cleaned a few days of my stay. When you ask for towels they tell you to come down to the front desk to get them yourself. Breakfast consists of runny eggs that don't get refilled and inedible pastries. When anything extra for the room is requested it is not fulfilled.

The pool is small and there are no chairs by it - they are in a separate area which makes no sense. Not to mention my key stopped working a few times and an elevator broke while I was there.

I would stay in this hotel for one night if you want to be in Recoleta and be walkable to a lot of different things and areas. However, I would say stay away. This hotel was a waste of money and I would stay far, far away from it.

Having just arrived in Buenos Aires from London The Pulitzer was a great choice as it felt fairly central and very safe. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the staff were very helpful. It was quiet at night. The breakfast was varied and plentiful

Very comfortable stay. The attached bar/restaurant was unhurried and good quality. Reception staff spoke English and we found everyone very helpful.
The location was perfect for food, browsing and seeing tango shows and we navigated the transport system (underground trains) easily. Only downside was the street beggars- even right outside the hotel door.

We stayed for 4 nights
Location is great, very central, rooms quiet & large comfortable bed. Our room was however tired looking, a very marked bath with no plug (see photo) and worn furniture.
Only giving 2 stars due to this &!the service, particularly the reception staff, who were on the whole unhelpful to the point of being rude.
In addition in our room we had leaking ceiling pipes ( which the hotel said was from the air conditioning). I slipped on the resulting water on the floor bruising my foot, head &shoulder, the hotel offered nothing in the way of apology or help which was very disappointing and then took £2.25pfrom our account after we left for a can of coke I used from the fridge to cool my sore foot! Will not be returning.

I stayed in April/18. The photos are not accurate to the accommodation. The lobby has very old and stained furniture. The room is a good size, the bed is great and the shower is great. It deserves a renovation and a thorough cleaning, as the ceiling has a lot of stains and the bathroom shower has old dirt. Daily cleaning is very good. Front desk service is excellent. The coffee is good, with a choice of bread, some fruit and eggs. There really aren't any variations during the day, but that's not a relevant point for me, because I have a fixed diet. The location is good, close to Plaza San Martin, one block from Florida and a few blocks from Puerto Madero.

The decor of the hotel and rooms is beautiful. Rooms have good space, excellent shower, friendly staff. The hotel's restaurant, Boca de Toro, has wonderful service, the Patagonia beer is very well served.
And the location is very good, very close to the Pacific gallery.
Following Calle Paraguay leads to the military circle, there is Rapanui and a metro station nearby.

The decor is cool, it's central but very noisy. For elderly people, the shower is dangerous, inside the bathtub, there are no safety bars and there is a leak in the bathroom. We stayed in 3 different rooms, all of which were leaking. The attendants have no good will, except for Walter who is at the reception at night and is a sweet person. There is a manhole in the street that doesn't let you sleep, every car that passes makes a deafening noise at night. Pillows are hard. The bedding is nice. If you are a smoker RUN, you can only smoke outside the hotel where at night it is a dormitory for homeless people and drug users, which prevents smoking there. The window blackout is in poor condition, allowing light to enter.

The pool had no maintenance, the minibar did not work, I asked for a plug for the bathtub and they did not deliver. The attention was not good. The top roff has no view at all. The truth is that the quality-price ratio does not meet it. For a hotel of that category I was very disappointed.

Slept 2 nights in this hotel. Disappointed me. An early take-away breakfast included: 1 banana and 2 slices of bread with ham and cheese in between. No drinking. When I asked about this, I was told that there were never any drinks to take with you. Foreign. It would be passed on...
The sink turned out to be leaking. There were puddles of water on the ground. When asked if an umbrella was available, the answer was curt: no.
All in all a disappointment.

We found the area very safe and had no problems and spent a lot of time walking the city. There are a lot of people touting for business on the street for money exchange which is a little unusual. Some people say you got a good rate of interest so worth checking out but we used cards most of the time but some restaurants do only take cash so check on entry.

Hi There, I typed an answer but did not think it sent. I have only been a client with this hotel, having stayed there. It is probably best to email the hotel directly to find out what is open during the Christmas season. Being a tourist destination I imagine there will be places that are open. Hope this helps!

We did not require the room longer than standard check out time which I think was midday. Where that has happened to us in the past in other hotels there has generally been an extra charge to hold it longer. That always depends on whether the room has been sold for that night or not - if it is, it may not be available. Other option is always to check out and ask the hotel to store your luggage for a few hours until your departure time. Hotel Pulitzer is well located within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants so there is plenty of activity close by.

Hi I know the hotel organized my collection from the airport and if I remember correctly I paid at the hotel and it was €35 ish. I returned to the airport by shuttle bus from down town very efficient and way cheaper also air conditioned. These buses run every 30 mins and start early morning. Good luck.
