As everyone mentions, the location could not be better. Being on the corner of Avenida de Mayo and Avenida 9 de Julio makes it easy to walk around and find lots of restaurants, convenience stores and public transport stations. But what I found amazing was how they strived to preserve most of the building's original architecture (and elevator). In this...

This quaint hotel nicely situated in the corner of 9 de Julio and Avenida de Mayo. 10 minute walk to Casa Rosada and the shopping district Florida and depending which room you have, I had the balcony with the view. I can see the obelisk and the Ministry of Interior building with Evita Peron's image. Friendly staff and speaks English....

You are in the middle of everything when you stay here. There is a great burger place down the street - Saint Burger. A nice grocery store and all the conveniences close by. Keep in mind during the week it is crazy busy. The hotel is very nice and the frond desk staff friendly and helpful. If you are looking...

5 stars for the location. Central to everything with a tube station right outside the front door. The rooms are well maintained and we just loved the style of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. A few disadvantages were that we got a room that faced the road. This meant is was very noisy as the windows are...

Location is very good and the price is not too bad in relation with the quality. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is good. Staff at the reception was not very helpful and nice and for us - three friends on holiday - this was the only negative aspect.

We had 10 beautiful days in this hotel. The stuf was helpful, but their English wasn't that good. Room are clean and beautiful, just the toilet is bit dark. The only serious complain is about breakfast, except eggs everything else was sweet and very poor variety, not even ham.

The hotel is located very close to the obelisk and it's an old building with has been restored. It's beautiful and the staff is really nice. Everything was clean and tidy. If you have difficulties climbing stairs I would recommend telling the staff during your reservation because our room was a duplex with stairs which would not be convenient for...

My wife and I stayed here in July and we had a great time. There are some negative points such as the noise coming from the main streets and a leaky roof during a storm we had during the finale between Germany and Argentina, lol. The staff is really kind and helpful, specially Andres and Leandro, who helped us with...

The best thing about this hotel is its location on the corner of Av. De Mayo and Av. 9 Julio right between two subway stations and close to the central monuments of Plaza de Mayo and Congress. This hotel seems to be so proud of their design... For me it looks tasteless and over-eclectic. When it comes to more practical...

I like this hotel for its location (right in the centre of the city with metro right in front the hotel), friendly and helpful staff, spacious room (we had the studio room with mezzanine - perfect for having two huge luggages), comfortable bed and great value for money. However, the biggest problem with this hotel is the noise. The walls...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
