A lovely hotel! The staff were wonderful -could not have been more helpful. In a quiet yet accessible part of Buenos Aires, it was extremely clean and offered great breakfasts. The swimming pool was out of action, but that did not detract from our stay

The rooms are full of light and very spacious, plenty of storage. Bathroom very nice but shower no powerful at all. Always very clean, very good housekeeping. The...

We loved this hotel and would definitely book it if we return. The staff was superb and very helpful in planning our time there. They also have printed material on conventional and non-conventional activities. There are nice restaurants and sidewalk cafes near the hotel. The breakfast was great. Many, many selections with healthy options as well. The only negative I...

I came to BsAs with my spouse that was in a business trip. The hotel in very good, nice location in Palermo, many restaurants, bars, cafés around. The area is beautiful and fun to walk through. 1-1.2 kms from Subte. Good breakfast, the staff was great and carring. Very recommended.

Hotel is fine When we parked on the street (20 ft.from hotel entrance) my wife was driving an unsavory character came out of the shadows demanding 50 pesos to look after the car. When I got out of the car he went away.Unsafe for women alone. Knowing that the police is useless, maybe the hotel could provide some help to the people...

We enjoyed our short stay at Ilum. It is in a good area, and the service received was of a very high level. We received recommendations for restaurants, tours and other activities, which was much appreciated. The rooms were comfortable, clean and a good size. We enjoyed the free breakfast - the ambience, the food and the service. I would...

We just stayed here one night after our Antarctica cruise (previously staying in the Recoleta area prior to the cruise), the hotel was lovely, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms nice towels, very helpful staff. The location was perfect for exploring Palermo area and we definitely preferred staying here than in Recoleta, with so many dining and bar options within walking distance....

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
