I stayed here for a 2 night respite from a long stretch of $6 hostels. A worthy investment. The B&B is in an old convent, one of the original buildings in Buenos Aires. The building has character, charm and maintains its original feel. At several paces from Plaza de Mayo. Se ubica a unos pasos de Plaza de Mayo. A...

We stayed for just a short 2 nights in October 2012 and Ada and Valentyn could not have been more welcoming and helpful! Not only did they help coordinate the delivery of our lost luggage, but they also helped with a forgotten hat after we left. I wish we could've stayed longer, it was the perfect spot in Buenos Aires!...

I spend 4 days at this centrally located yet very quiet B&B in Buenos Aires. Ada and Valentyn are great hosts. Valentyn gave me a detailed introduction to Buenos Aires and great advise as to what places are worth a visit. One evening they took me to the oldest Milonga in Buenos Aires for tango. I don't dance myself but...

The apartment could well be in Paris with its very beautiful wooden floor and high ceilings. It is just 2 blocks away from plaza de mayo and major subway stations. However the area gets empty in the evening and is not the place to get out for a nice restaurant. But San Telmo area can be reached by foot in...

Centrally located near subway and bus stops. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Rooms were quiet and safe. Air conditioning available. The room was well priced. Nice breakfast with homemade toast. We had a private tango lesson with Ada which was a good experience. Ada & Valentyn are excellent hosts. Highly recommend this B&B.

We spent five days here. Ada and Valentyn are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to be helpful and friendly and take obvious pride in their B&B/apartment and the service they offer, which is impeccable. The B&B is very conveniently located, with buses and the metro around the corner and they are more than happy to point you...

Traveling is one of my passions and as a traveler I give high value to the ambience of the place I’m staying when I am away from home. That’s why I loved Ada and Valentyn B&B at the first sight. Ada and Valenting are great hosts. We felt very welcome and did enjoy our stay very much! The apartment is beautiful and our room was big and lovely furnished. The breakfast with Valentin's homemade bread was excellent. The B&B is very well located and you will find buses and the metro just around the corner. I already booked a room...

I can only recommend this B&B. It is in a really good location, walking distance to the Plaza de Mayo, where all subway lines start, so you can easily get around in the city. It is also only a very short walk to San Telmo with all the antique shops and nice restaurants. The rooms are beautiful, very nicely decorated...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
