From the moment I arrived, the owners Danny & Hugo were incredibly friendly and welcoming and I immediately felt relaxed and at home. They were never anything less than...

I arrived in Buenos Aires confused with my head spinning. I signed up to take classes at the El Pasaje school in Buenos Aires. I needed a place to stay, and one of the instructors recommended me to a great house with a great owner, Danny. I went to check it out and decided to stay there for a few...

I have stayed here for about one month and I can highly recommend this place, especially if you are staying in Buenos Aires for a longer period. They are renting out four rooms, which makes it feel like a combination of a guest house and a (very luxurious) student flat. The house is very comfortable with the big living room,...

Porteños, Danny and Hugo are the friendly and helpful live-in owners of this large, clean modern share house in a great area of Buenos Aires, close to many restaurants, bars and attractions. With four rooms available to rent, the house was social without being crowded and there was always opportunities to socialise with housemates or relax quietly by the pool...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
