Excellent location, close to main streets, subway and restaurants. Right next to the most famous cemetary in Bs.As provided views and a quiet neighbor. Walking distance to the city center. Staff is very helpful. This is a small hotel, not a large international chain. Breakfast was ok. Would definitely return.
Hotel is in a lovely location overlooking Recoleta cemetery, the staff are lovely too,the rooms are adequate although a little dated, the buffet breakfast is a bit ordinary but overall it is a great location
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and thought it a very good hotel in a super location. Our room overlooked the Recoleta Cemetery and with all rooms having a balcony we thought this an ideal location. There a many bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk but we liked the small kitchenette in the room as we had already eaten out on many occasions so it was nice to have a bottle of wine and something simple to eat on the balcony one night. Would highly recommend this as base for a visit to BA.
Nice little hotel opposite cemetary - make sure you ask for high floor as otherwise you will be looking at cemetary wall. Kitchenette a bonus and breakfast pretty good. Good location in area that felt safe and staff helpful.
Nice hotel in a great neighborhood across the street from Recoleta Cemetery. Lots to do and see in the area. Very nice staff and breakfast. Kitchenette’s in rooms also mini bar set up. Very comfortable rooms and big bathrooms. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed 1 night at the hotel upon arrival in Buenos Aires and then checked out while we went to Iguazu Falls for 2 nights leaving most of our luggage at the hotel. We returned for 2 more nights before our cruise. The staff were all very helpful. Our room faced the cemetery and was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast. The location was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again.
I spent 2 nights at the Sileo with my wife. The hotel is in a good location, looks at the back of Recoleta cemetery, half a block from many restaurants, 2 blocks from the Recoleta Mall. Staff is ok but looked tired, easy checkin. Our room looked on the back, which I prefer because I never understood the beauty of a cemetery view, and the back is quieter. Rooms are well appointed, nice bathroom, good and quiet A/C , small kitchenette that we did not use. Wifi a bit iffy. Bed was very comfortable, room had both a desk and a table, so very spacious. The lobby tries to be modern chic, but fails , it looks odd and small. Breakfast that was included was only ok. I prefer breakfast in the many neighborhood cafes. I would stay there again.
We were at hotel Sileo for 4 nights in December-2019. Our room was fantastic and the balcony faced the Recoleta cemetery. Location: excellent. Very easy to hail cabs and very close to a lot of cool eating joints. There is also a mall close by where we converted USD to pesos. Hospitality: this was easily our favorite hotel during the South America vacation. The entire staff spoke fluent English, they were super nice and took great care of us. They provided us with detailed directions on good stuff to explore in the city. Special mention for Miguel. If Sileo management is reading this review: please give him a promotion!! We will certainly stay at Sileo if we visit Buenos Aires again.
A wonderful stay at the Sileo Hotel - the service and staff really made it. Good rooms, lovely bathrooms and a great rooftop. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a well priced hotel in Recoleta. Coffee was also brilliant!
In brief, our stay at the Sileo convinced me that, perhaps, staying at a "boutique" hotel is not such a great idea. In my experience, they promise more than they deliver. That was true of the Sileo. On the positive side: great location, clean, spacious room, nice front desk staff, decent bed. On the negative side: cheap and dated furnishings (the bathroom merited two stars at best), the a/c goes off when you leave the room (good luck if you are staying when the weather is warm or humid!). One can hear everything in the other rooms on the floor. We did not eat breakfast because we tried the coffee and it tasted like soapy water. Overall, not terrible, but not particularly good either.
