Nestled in the heart of the city, the Buenos Aires Marriott garners acclaim for its spacious rooms boasting comfortable beds and stunning views. Its prime location is celebrated for its proximity to dining, sights, and transport.
While the hotel's cleanliness and amenities, including a notable rooftop pool, receive high marks, some guests have experienced issues with room maintenance and service inconsistencies. Despite the praise for the staff's friendliness and the hotel's inviting atmosphere, the value proposition has been questioned due to unexpected charges.

The Buenos Aires Marriott is an excellent choice for visitors to Buenos Aires, particularly for its exceptional walkable location in the heart of the city, close to iconic attractions like the Obelisco and Teatro ColĂłn. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, clean rooms, some of which feature stunning city views. The rooftop on the 23rd floor, complete with a heated pool and panoramic views of the city, was a standout feature.
The attentive and professional service further enhanced our experience. With its modern amenities and prime downtown location, the Buenos Aires Marriott offers an outstanding stay for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and memorable views. If you have access to the M Club, take advantage of it—both the breakfast and happy hour offerings are well worth it.
**Room Tip:** If possible, request a room facing the avenue to enjoy the best views, as some rooms on the opposite side overlook a blank wall.

The Buenos Aires Marriott is well situated in a busy, metropolitan area of the city. It is within walking distance of restaurants, attractions, green spaces and activities. The layout of the hotel is a bit strange with a substantial number of the rooms facing each other in a manner that would require keeping one’s drapes closed much of the time. As a Bonvoy member with status we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a city view junior suite room. It is worth paying extra to receive a room NOT in the fishbowl! Rooms are clean and well outfitted but I found the bathrooms to be small and dated; even in our Jr. Suite. Vanities have yellowing surfaces and cracks. Toiletries are sporadically restocked. The housekeeping staff was thorough and front desk personnel were outstanding…always available with a suggestion or assistance with any issue. The bellmen and door staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good about them and their friendly demeanors and assistance with luggage, transportation and dining suggestions. A large gym area that was rarely used by others (in a week of visits I never once saw another guest working out with me) and an enclosed pool made for lap swimming and relaxing are highpoints. The in house restaurant used primarily for breakfast was mediocre at best. The selection and preparation of foods was adequate but didn’t always seem to be the freshest. Fruit quality varied and the scrambled eggs were runny. Perhaps they were made from powdered eggs? The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel appeared to cater to large travel groups. While there I saw several Gate ! Travel groups (Why they wore their name badges all the time is a mystery to me!) and several Chinese based companies as well. This meant breakfast could be crowded and picked over. Fortunately, we had access to the Bonvoy lounge and chose to have breakfast there most mornings. The buffet selection was smaller but seemed more curated and fresher. Overall, the Marriott is a solid stay for a lower mid priced hotel.

We stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights. We had an issue with our other lodging and arrived at night. The bellman quickly gathered our luggage while we checked in and then graciously brought our luggage to 2 rooms on different floors. He explained the Blue rate and the ins and outs of the hotel. Our rooms were clean and spacious and pretty quiet. The buffet breakfast was tasty but we made sure to get there close to opening. Service for lunch was impeccable. Waiter noticed me munching on another family member’s fries and offered to bring out more free of charge. Location is great for hitting Puerto Madero, Obelisk and even walking 30 min to Recoleta. Marriott is a solid choice and a great value.

Lovely hotel with very kind staff. I was using points for my room so perhaps that is the reason it wasn’t quite as lovely as some of the other rooms posted on this website. Nevertheless, the rooms are clean. The bar/restaurant has a vegetarian burger that is amazing, I highly recommend it. The hotel is a 35-45 minute cab ride from the airport (I paid $39 each way).

We enjoyed our one night at the Buenos Aires Marriott. After staying at boutique hotels throughout our time in Argentina, it was nice to be in a large, fancy hotel. The pool was gorgeous and warm and offered incredible rooftop views of the city. The food and drinks were delicious (albeit expensive and slow). The rooms were large and comfortable. We heard zero noise from the bustling city outside. The location is good and we were able to walk to many delicious restaurants, and there's a great walking street closed to cars around the corner.

We choose this Marriott based on positive reviews, being loyal Marriott members and because our 2nd night there was prearranged by a tour company. We paid over $300 US for the first night. We were expecting a clean, comfortable room. We were surprised by our room. First, the view of another building where you are so close that you can see into other rooms was disappointing. The bathroom was not clean and not really sure why there were 2 showers, but both was awful. In one, there was no place to put soap or shampoo, you had to hang on for dear life not to slip. The other one was like a tub combo shower. The bed was comfortable though and thank goodness! The location is fine and the lobby is lovely. The front desk staff were friendly, the valets great, but the restaurant staff need some additional training. We were very exhausted after 2 days of traveling and since the hotel would not check us in when we arrived around 1p, we decided to get something to eat while we waited to check in. There were only 3 other couples in the restaurant at that time. We watched for 15 minutes while the wait staff assisted those customers and never came over to even ask us if we wanted water, etc. I got up and requested water and to place an order. The order arrived incorrectly. We let it go thinking it was an isolated incident, but ate there 2 more times and each time was similar. We ordered room service the first night and that was great! We were surprised not to find a little convenience shop at the location to purchase bottle water so out of desperation, had to purchase from the restaurant until we got some rest and went down to a local market. Not sure how this is rated 5 stars based on our experience. Maybe because we were with a tour group we got the worst of the rooms even though the first night was paid privately. Many room photos on this site were not even close to what we were given. Not sure if they were in the other tower. This was nowhere close to what we have experienced as Marriott members.

Excellent location on 9th Julio; Subway stop right outside. Always porters available to help with loading/unloading transport. Very spacious and luxurious atrium. Front desk staff very helpful. Recommend pay everything in Pesos everywhere. There is no excuse for not being able to get "cambio" outside as any visitor will find. The lounge was great with a good happy hour, lots of space and comfortable chairs and seating areas and plenty of bottled water and soft drinks at other times. Aircon worked great fortunately in my room high up so I was not bothered by noise off the very busy 9th Julio, and I had a balcony to look over it which was great. Best views though were from the rooftop pool, and watching sunset from up there was very popular. The pool is mainly indoors but you can swim though into a smaller outside area. There's a nice big changing area by the pool. I enjoyed this place for the comfort of the room and the size of the place. I think they get a lot of cruise ship passengers; there were a load of British people staying who had been on an antarctic trip.
The breakfast area was often very busy but we always found a decent table and the breakfast offering was fine.
Bit of a walk to Casa Rosada and La Recoleta but take taxis if walking a mile would be a struggle

In October, I booked three rooms for the Buenos Aires Marriott for myself and two friends who were on a girls trip. I used four suite nights to upgrade my room since I would be staying at the hotel for several days and was hoping for a spacious room with a decent view. Two days prior to my trip, I received a confirmation that my upgrade request had been accepted for a deluxe city view suite with a sitting area.
We were scheduled to arrive at the hotel after midnight on Friday, November 4 so I contacted the hotel to make them aware of this on Thursday and again on Friday. They confirmed both times that they made a note of my reservation and that our three rooms would be available when we arrived.
When we arrived at check-in we were presented paperwork to sign for our rooms and get our keys. I reminded them that I was Platinum elite and my room had been upgraded. They told me room 1626 was the upgraded room. When I went to my room, it was not only small and cramped, it was next to the service area and the elevators. The detached shower head did not work properly and there was water all over the floor after a less than 5 minute shower. The television in my room did not work, I played with the cords but could not get it a signal. The safe also did not work. I requested three times for someone to come fix it.
Later that day, I went to see my two friends’ rooms and both were nearly twice the square footage of mine and had lovely views of the square in front of the hotel. Immediately, I went downstairs with my Spanish-speaking friend to see where the mix up occurred. At the front desk, they told me that nothing else was available. We even asked if they was a standard room, which would have been larger than the room they gave me, and they claimed they would try to see what they could do.
After speaking with several front desk staff during our stay, they never accommodated me as a Platinum, now Titanium elite, member. Instead, I spent four night in a cramped room with a broken television, poor views and had to endure listening to the repeated chiming of the elevators, as well as hearing the housekeeping carts and other staff come in and out of the service area next to my room.
As a 1.) Platinum elite member, now Titanium, 2.) owner of a Marriott timeshare and 3.) Marriott cardholder of 10+ years who has spent tens of thousands of dollars this year alone, I expect to receive better treatment and service. The poor experience and mediocre customer service definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.
I sent a complaint with the survey I receive a few days after my stay and the manager simply provided a generic apology. I also took my complaint to Twitter and they awarded me with some points, barely enough to even book a room in a major city.
With all this said, this hotel is old, the rooms are dark and outdated, the lobby buffet breakfast was flavorless and always cold. The only highlight was the evening happy hour in the club lounge and the nice woman who worked there each day of our stay.

Needs urgent renovation. The rooms are tired. The bathroom besides being very small had an old curtain in the bathtub/shower(they are together, like hotels in the 70's and 80's), that fell all the way during the stay. The restaurant has 4 options of food for lunch and dinner. Service in the restaurant, mainly during breakfast is uncourteous. It seems that the customer is a problem when asking anything that is not in the breakfast buffet, like a simple capuccino. Overall staff is polite, but inefficient. I asked for a sewing kit and it took over 1 hour to get it, even calling the front desk several times (and they promised that it'd take 10').

I stayed twice at the Marriott on my last visit, for a week when I arrived and for three days before I left only because my first visit was so good. The hotel is in the center of the city and very convenient. Reception was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were really nice comfortable. The rooftop pool and gym had great views of the city and was the perfect place to relax at night. Housekeeping went above and beyond, they found a ID card I left in the room power slot and I was able to retrieve it. The M Club was elegant and the service from Roberto, Antonela, Patricio and Florencia was superb, thank you to all. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Buenos Aires.

Yes. It’s on the second floor. You get there through a private elevator. it’s open 24 hours so it’s a great place to hang out after you have to leave your room if you checked out before your airport pick up time. Breakfast was plentiful. The staff is very helpful. The automatic coffee machine is always open. The champagne at happy hour was wonderful. There’s a nice outdoor balcony if you are a smoker. It’s a great place to meet fellow travelers.
You may find this out by contacting Customer Service or the Front Desk of Buenos Aires Marriott prior to your stay.
I know for sure you'd enjoy the hotel's massage services located on its 23rd Terrace Floor, other than its gym, swimming pool, sauna and other services available on the 23rd Floor.
