We spent 2 nights here before we flew down to Ushuaia to start our Antartica cruise. We arranged a transfer with the hotel to come and pick us up from the airport and it took about 40 minutes to get to the hotel. The hotel is good and we were given a room upgrade to a suite upon check in....

Upscale hotel with nice amenities. Hotel is located downtown in a business setting. Concierge is very helpful with tour planning and his recommendations were spot on. Hotel amenities are what you would expect from an Intercontinental.

Arrived early over heated & traumatised from the taxi transfer from the cruise terminal. We were early but were allocated a deluxe room immediately. Nice warm greeting in wonderful surroundings. Attentive staff who gave good security advice. Stayed for 5 nights and although we went out for lunch to a Tripadvisor recommended Parilla Santos Maranjos we still had breakfast, lunch...

The location is not the best if you want to walk out at night but the staff and the services are excellent, specially on the executive floor. Rooms are a little tired and need a some renovation. I was a little upset that despite being a IHG Spire level member couldn't extend my check out time past 2pm like I...

We stayed here as part of a tour group, already worn out from our travel we had to stand and wait whilst out tour manager dealt with protocols, no one directed us to seats or welcomed the group, or better still directed us to a refreshment area whilst we waited. The decor was as expected of a 5 star hotel. Okay...

We spent a February 1 night pre-cruise in an executive floor room. The room itself and the attentive staff would rate with hotels having higher star ratings and would be fine for short stays by non-sightseers. What disappointed my wife and I was, despite the location description on this website and on the hotel's website, was the hotel's location in...

I stayed her for a week in February. Pros: classy hotel, good service, happy hour for elite members with free wine beer and finger food, and in a relatively safe area during daytime. Cons: unsafe to walk around during the night; not too much of a night scene in the walkable area. Bathrooms are a little antiquated. Overall a good...

This hotel is very well located in the center of the city. The major sites are within easy walking distance. Shopping is close and there are many good restaurants nearby. We stayed in a club room which was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has several restaurants. The staff of the hotel is exceptionally helpful and nice.

The hotel is clean and well cared for. The concierges were very helpful. They found us a wonderful guide and steered us to great restaurants. The hotel's restaurants were also quite nice. There was a nice selection of items for breakfast, which was included in our reservation. It's a nice place to stay in a central location.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
